I felt old watching last night being one of only a handful of over 30s in the audience. Did expect it to be a little more mixed given the age of the film. That aside I really enjoyed the show. At first it was jarring just how old the heathers looked, especially compared to some of the other cast, but I decided to go with it in the grand tradition of people old enough to be the parent of the character playing them in teen movies. Carrie was far less irritating than expected, she throws everything at the part, and mostly pulls it off. Jamie Muscato was excellent when JD was mad but didn’t pull off the sexy cool newcomer at the start, which was a shame as he’s done heartthrob very, very well in the past. As above the Martha was terrific throughout although had some mike problems at the start which was a shame. Overall I loved it, good fun show and it would be nice if it had a life here after the run. You were there last night? Hi, I was ‘Steve’...thought I’d be safe in the second row but apparently not. Rebecca Lock did a right number on me! 😂 I am such a Dumbo. When they called me "Steve," I thought they knew my name! I didn't dream they call everybody "Steve." Theatremonkey, you've been warned!

I saw this yesterday afternoon. Pretty full, although there was a spare seat next to me and singles and doubles scattered throughout.
Don't know if they were people who booked and couldn't attend (nearly happened to me as I accidentally booked the matinee instead of the evening, thankfully I had some work lieu time due).
My ears are still recovering from the fan girl screaming and cheering!
On to the show itself. I sat second row side, in the cheap seats. A perfect view, level with the stage, although obviously occasionally blocked due to the side view and the staging. You are incredibly close to the action from these seats. Would happily book these anytime, particularly when compared with the price of other seats.
I don't recall ever having seen the film, but some parts of the plot were familiar. I'm wondering if I actually saw this parodied in another team film or somewhere.
The score for this one is very good and everyone is strong vocally. It's a small cast who perform multiple parts. Carrie Hope Fletcher is really strong. I liked Jamie Muscato, although I didn't pick up he was meant to be a goth type character (or whatever the 80s equivalent was) straight away.
Dominic Andersen and Chris Chung played the jock roles well and both wear 80s style underwear well. I think Dominic has lost some of his definition since he played Rocky, but still looks good. Second row is a good place to sit if you like that sort of thing.
I'd not recommend front row if you're male, particularly if you're with a girl, as you're very likely to end up part of the audience interaction. The audience is almost exclusively late teen/early 20s female, so if you are one of the few males on the front row, you might want to try and change seats. With that said, the guy picked on gave it back well.
The big downside of the show is it has gunshots and explosions, which are never welcome, particularly not in a small theatre. No warnings before you book. Most of them are actually sound effects and pyros, but always enough to put me on edge when guns are waved around (this might be obvious if you know the film).
This is now completely sold out, so I'm glad I got a ticket early. I wouldn't want to see it again at The Other Palace, but would happily see it if it transfers or tours. Based on the fan girl reactions and repeat ticket sales, I'm sure this has an extended life somewhere.

Alright I’m now going to need some more information on this audience interaction. I’m a single male with a front row centre ticket and am now DREADING it! If anyone would be so kind as to share what this interaction entails and when it happens (in spoiler tags) I’d appreciate it.

Could you realistically have had a relationship with Becky Lock 20 years ago? If so, duck! 😂

I'm wondering if I actually saw this parodied in another team film or somewhere. If you've seen Mean Girls it may seem familiar as it was loosely based on Heathers.

If you look at this video around the 2 min 12 second mark where she talks to "Steve" that is the extent of the audience participation (If you are chosen you will be "Steve").
It happens during the third song in Act 2.

Wel thanks all for your responses! That’s nowhere near as bad as I was expecting and not something to have to move seats over! I actually remember that happening in the workshop now
I’ll prepare a response along the lines of ‘I’m glad you’re ending the affair because you’re missing one big thing I usually look for in a romantic partner’ just incase

Yep, I went yesterday afternoon and I have to say I’m now pretty much obsessed and in love with this show and cast. I caught the film for the first time last year when the workshop was announced, and listened to a few of the bigger numbers from the cast recording so My expectations were already high. I’m now desperate to return before the end of the run but as it’s sold out I’ll have to keep my fingers crossed for the Big Fun Lottery. I really hope this has an extended life somewhere else, the atmosphere was insane and lots of die hard teenage fans were in attendance. How. Very...

I'd never been particularly bothered about seeing this and of course it's too late now as it's sold out, but I think their West End Live performance was one of the best of the whole weekend and if there were tickets left, it definitely would've encouraged me to have booked. Hope the critics are nice to it!

Choreography for “Candy Store” not a patch on the sharp, witty, amazing original moves, even when making allowances for the slightly sloppy execution. Still... looking forward to seeing this in a few weeks v much.

WEnt on Friday full house didn't know what to exspect ended up loving it so much I've entered the lottery to see it again next week 😊 The three heathers were amazing Carrie was brill as always. Tried the freeze your brain cocktail as well really nice to try. As a bonus Andrew Lloyd Webber was watching the show as well. I'm still in shock to say I saw a west end show with Andrew Lloyd Webber. Anyway loved what they did with the small amount of space they had on stage and loved the size of the other palace not to big not to small nice venue. After seeing heathers it has made me want to go back and see other shows there. Loved heathers it was fab. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars from me. 😉

Can't help but compare this production to the original. Costumes don't look as good and the choreography isn't very good. Carrie Hope Fletcher does not look like a Veronica at all.

If anyone has or in the future has a spare ticket, please keep me in mind and let me know. I know there will be a clamour for spares but think about what i give you in co-running this lovely forum for you all.....

I really think I’m the only one so far that was actually disappointed. Care to elaborate? I thought as it started, that I would have a problem with ages of the Heathers, and Carrie not being remotely like Veronica. However then the ‘acting’ began and the overwhelming enthusiasm of the rest of the audience. Disappointed in the whole show or in a you tube clip from an open air free concert? Because there is a world of difference.
