The Aldwych isn't big enough for Finding Neverland, I reckon they'll be aiming for somewhere like the Dominion or the Palladium, The VP won't be ready to reopen until next April at the earliest

I'm so excited for this show!!! It truly was fantastic, I hope that they cast this well, preferably with Laura Michelle Kelly, she really plays the part beautifully. The final scenes are done so beautifully.

I'd wager this will follow Show Boat into the New London. They're not stupid - this won't fill the Dominion or the Palladium!

Surely Palladium has to be in the running for this one? Or wouldn't it fit the stage? Drury Lane a possibility if not? Listening to the cast recording for the first time now. Report back on your thoughts on the cast album Ade………I was sold on the first listen and got teary eyed at the final number (I was on the DLR!!) Teary on public transport. I normally reserve that for episodes of Grey's Anatomy  had a listen and enjoyed it. Need another though as couldn't listen to it all properly because was working at the same time |

Guys and Dolls is booking until 30th October, so maybe it could go to the Phoenix if G&D doesn't extend? I feel like Guys & Dolls won't extend again, so I think this could be likely as New London is supposedly making space for Hamilton and Mackintosh plans on filling the Victoria Palace with Mary Poppins! But I think the Dominion is a viable option as well |

I do recall before this was confirmed to go to Broadway instead, the Palladium was looked at as the potential theatre. I personally think this would struggle though if it went into one of the larger theatres.

I thoroughly enjoyed this in New York last year, so very happy to hear that it's heading our way (just happy from a bank balance perspective that it's not until next year!)

I'm delighted this has officially been confirmed for a London transfer! I've fallen in love with the Broadway soundtrack. My only niggle is that I'll have to wait until next year but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

I suspect it will go to the Dominion. It's produced by Weinstein and he won't want to do a cut down version here to fit into the Aldwych, Phoenix etc.,
If it does come here I hope its redesigned- it's one pig ugly show.
Hopefully LMK will do it here- she was lovely in it.

After seeing the first version of Finding Neverland at the Curve back in 2012 I'm not sure whether I want to see the second version. I really liked much of the first score & I was quite annoyed that it was unceremoniously ditched. I'm not sure I fancy Gary Barlow's take, which from what I've heard is pop-ier.

There are a couple of good new numbers in the show.. But it's still a troubled show. It doesn't quite work .

I too saw it twice at the Curve, though not as far apart as you. I saw it, I think, a couple of weeks into the run, and then again a few days before the end of the run to see the understudies for the two main characters. However even seeing it a couple of weeks apart the first 10 minutes or so of Act 1 had been totally re-organised. I still didn't think they got the piece right at the Curve but I felt the problems were with the book more than the music, hence I was annoyed when they ditched the music. Yes, I agree, if they cast people I really like then I might be tempted to see it. |

I saw it at Curve and was dreadfully bored. It was pretty to look at, but the score was weak and the show failed to capture the emotional beauty of the film, which makes me sob every time I watch it.
I wasn't too thrilled about the new version, although I do like "All That Matters" and "Stronger. And also the way Tony Yasbek looks in a beard.
Has there ever been such a case when a creative (writing) team is completely fired and a new writing team gets commissioned? It happens all the time with director, sets, costumes, but I swear I can't remember another case of the entire score and script being thrown out of the tub.

What casting would people like to see for J.M Barrie and Sylvis Lllewelyn Davies?
I know for sure I'd pay good money to see Laura Michelle Kelly or Rosalie Craig as Sylvia. And speaking of Rosalie, I can actually picture her husband Hadley Fraser as J.M. Barrie.

I also feel that this role requires a bonafide musical theatre triple threat, which although he is okay for some roles, this role requires some heavy lead male lifting. |

I saw him in Eternity and wooden would not begin to tell it Somehow I cannot see him singing the first Act finale. It has to be powerful. It is the best number in the show. |

James McEvoy could be an interesting choice for J.M. Barrie. I would like to see Douglas Hodge as Frohman and Liz Robertson as Mrs DuMaurier.
