Hoping there will still be some £19.50 tickets left on payday in a fortnight! Just don't have any money till then but would LOVE to go! One of my favourite musicals of recent times, and what a BRILLIANT cast.

Bet a few TheatreBoard members will be at this. Another chance for a meet up maybe, and maybe one with a few different people as well.

Booked in the cheap seats! Hope they're ok.
Couldn't resist a chance to see Tyrone Huntley and I nurse a bit of a crush on Cavin Cornwall as well.

See this is the event of the year for me. I rarely book in advance but I cannot miss this! With this show and this cast, this is one of those things I cannot miss! I am so excited!

Is this literally going to be a concert, them just singing the songs, or is it going to be partly staged?

Does it matter? Marisha and Rachel will be opening their mouths and words will be coming out! Not really, just wondering.

Does it matter? Marisha and Rachel will be opening their mouths and words will be coming out! Not really, just wondering. Thats the spirit boo boo! To answer your question seriously, I imagine it will be done in the same vein as Honeymoon in Vegas. Stands at the front of the stage, the songs sung, script acted but no proper staging, dancing or moving around the stage. So, for example, if they are having a conversation, it will be acted out but standing still. It sounds worse than it actually is haha, it worked so well at Honeymoon!

There's a credited choreographer, so I imagine there will be choreography.

The upside for those waiting for payday, there are still plenty of seats available, especially most of the Gallery and the Rear Stalls. The front five rows of the Stalls are sold out already though!

Not sure how Marisha Wallace will ever manage to top Cynthia Erivo as Celie, but Marisha, Tyrone Huntley and Rachel John being in the cast is sending me to book right now!
Edit: still plenty of £32.50 tickets left in the Gallery, but the £19.50 tickets are going fast. Decided not to splurge for this one so side gallery it is!

So i'm going to this, when i booked i didn't quite pay attention to the time and so initially started planning on seeing a Sunday matinee that afternoon then making my way to see this. Only noticing now it starts at 6pm. Can i still do a matinee do you think and still get there in time via tube? I guess it will at least have to be something on the shorter side. Probably wouldn't be an issue normally but of course all Sunday Mats usually start at 3pm, which is annoying.

I think that, naturally, as mentioned before, this is going to become one of those shows that naturally creates a meet up for a few members haha. As a fair few of us are going haha.

Where is everyone sitting? I'm in CC9, third row, Centre Stalls. Left gallery row C - wasn't prepared to pay top price for this given it's a concert version and I saw the brilliant fully staged version so recently in New York for about half of what top price for this is.

Side gallery row D for me - it being a 6pm start rather than 7:30 makes it possible on a school night. That cast!
