I've always wanted to see Cabaret, not a massive fan of Will but he might be good in this. What's the Bibiddy-Boboddy-Bill Kenwright production like? I've bleached it from my memory having experienced Sam Barks being totally inept and Wayne Sleep trying to dance in a pair of fishnets. I'm sure I heard his back creak. Hiddy.

Sarah Harding must be washing her hair around that time.

Whilst I will say the 2008/2009 tour was very lackluster in some places, the 2012 west end and 2013 tour was vastly superior, with improved staging (Tomorrow Belongs To Me was deeply chilling), choreography and Will Young was a fantastic Emcee, so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this production again, which might have even more changes as it's being marketed as a "new" tour???

Missed the last tour and had always wanted to see Will so thats nice.
But Louise is too old to be playing Sally. Surely?

Well Sally Bowles isn't supposed to be a very good singer... so they are fine there
But she is supposed to be a 20 something. Not twice that.

Booked for the Lowry in November. Never seen this on stage so looking forward to it. Casting La Redknapp is interesting, Will Young should be good. Any other casting?

The last production at the Savoy and on tour with Will Young had nakedness *shock* ...... *Faints* but not the tour? Yes, the tour as well. Some of the midweek matinee matrons were shocked to the core!

It's not the fault of the production that some of its more feeble-minded audiences couldn't take the Nazi deathcamps seriously.

I saw the 'naked' production at the Savoy in 2013...there's barely any nakedness at all, just a snatch of it right at the end...ha, boom boom 🤣 I'm just too funny!

I saw Louise Redknapp perform once. Well I thought I did. Turns out I was watching the results of someone having painted a wall magnolia for half an hour with Eternal's greatest hits playing on the radio.

Louise Redknapp is so mimsy nowadays I fully expect her to play Sally Bowles wearing a cardigan.

A good Emcee is important, but a bad Sally can make or break Cabaret, as proven by the last West End production with Michelle Ryan!

Of all the recent Sally's I've seen, it was Amy Nuttal from Emerdale that impressed me the most.

Surely, surely they could have found someone better than Louise Redknapp? Is she even box office? Hopefully she may not do all the performances in the week (such is the fashion now) and may catch the MT understudy at a matinee? The production (from what I remember) was quite good. I saw it several times. The nudity was toned down for the tour - no naked sailors as in London!

To be fair to her, she was the runner up in 'Strictly' last year along with Danny Mac who is also leading a show at the moment. They're both a little bit like the bland leading the bland to me but they're obviously popular with Joe Public and the great unwashed.

Louise Redknapp is so mimsy nowadays I fully expect her to play Sally Bowles wearing a cardigan. Exactly. Her costumes on Strictly were so unflattering (at her request, apparently. (Not that they should be unflattering, but that they shouldn't be revealing/too tight.)).

To be fair to Danny Mac, he is perfectly suited to his role in On The Town. His scenes away from the other strong leads are very dance heavy, which he carries off beautifully.

You can say (or write) what you like about Bill Kenwright productions, but credit where it's due, he does know how to cast to get bums on seats. It also helps if you can advertise for free to 2 million listeners on prime time Radio 2

I saw Anna Maxwell Martin as Sally. I actually consider her vastly overrated on TV and in film, and her performance turned me off the "but Sally isn't supposed to be a good singer!" arguments for life.
