Lord have mercy my Mother loves her some Will Young and is making noises about seeing this. Please don't make me. Look on the bright side: this time around, someone might have managed to teach him to pronounce 'wilkommen' and 'bienvenue'. At the Lowry in 2012, both words eluded him - and his performance went downhill from there.

In my opinion the problem here is Louise herself and her personality of which, she had none.
We know she can sing, how well- in terms of range, strength, etc. is arguable- and that she can dance. Technically, she may possibly have been better than Ore who eventually won however what he had over here in this show in bucket loads was personality.
He was so moved at the end of his dance and when the scores came though that he cried. I mean this guy was publicly emoting all over the place whereas Louise was just this cold , wet fish, giving nothing.
In addition to each proving themselves in terms of dancing ability, as a viewer, this was enough to win me over.
I don't know what goes on in her personal life (and that's really no one's business) but in terms of acting the part of Sally Bowles, come on Louise, give us something that will give us incentive to put our hands into our pocket to purchase a ticket.

Don't get me started on Ore. I agree about Louise though.
How did Will pronounce wilkommen and bienvenue?

And of course Will left SCD early because he can't handle criticism. Right little Diva that one!

I don't know what it is, but this looks totally wrong. I saw Michelle Ryan and Siobhan Dillon at the Savoy and on the tour respectively, but there is something about this photo of Louise that has me screaming "No! No! No!". Wasn't she the one in Strictly who insisted her costumes erred on the side of modesty so as not to embarrass her family? And yes, as others have said, she had zero personality.
However, I thought Will Young was fabulous and booked up on the strength of him appearing again - so I will have to endure LR. Who knows, we might be surprised? (Just don't mention Sarah Harding ...)

That photo looks like the top half of Louise has been photoshopped onto someone else's bottom half (from the waist down).

I don't know what it is, but this looks totally wrong. I think it could be her "there's a dirty old smell under my nose" facial pose.

Same here I particularly liked the one for Duty Free. I've tried to find it online but I can't (sad face)

That poster just screams "quality production". The heads look like they are floating on someone elses bodies. All Kenwrights posters look the same. Sad.

OMG are you telling me that poster is real? What kind of shoddy photoshop is this?
Shame, I LOVE Cabaret but this tour has not got me excited at all.

Yes Strictly was mentioned actually. Some nice footage from the photoshoot for Cabaret was shown, and a nice little interview.

"I had three long auditions to get the part. One was five hours of singing and doing the script." chirped Louise. It's now gone up to four auditions, including one with Ruffus at the National.

I don't care how many auditions she is claiming to have had, nothing will persuade me that she should ever have been cast in this role.
If they wanted a Strictly name, they had plenty more credible candidates to try to beg before stopping to Mrs Redknapp.
I know names help sell a show but they have to be the right ones. Sally should never be played by someone like Louise Redknapp.
She might just get away as one of the supporting characters but never Sally. The show is too important to go down this sort of path. I know it is a Billy K show and we should expect cheap, but there are limits.

I would agree with oxfordsimon above, however, the show is almost sold out for its week in December at the Brighton Theatre Royal where very little sells out these days. The prices are top dollar too - £58 top price and £65 premiums!! I assume it is Mrs Redknapp that is responsible for this - surely not Will Young?
