 Just in case Dusty at Charing Cross and the new musical in the pipeline with Katherine Kingsley wasn't enough, Craig Revel Horwood has decided to bring us another musical featuring the songs of Dusty Springfield. This one's called Son of a Preacher Man. On priority sale to ATG members for Manchester, Birmingham, Sunderland and York. |

I'm amazed that they got the rights to do it. This looks very 'grand rights-y' to me and I would have thought the official show would have had the rights all tied up.

We used to sent convicts to Oz years ago, couldn't we send Horwood over there for ruining perfectly good shows??? I am sure the Musicians Union would be extremely delighted!

It'll be a ten from Len when the casting for this is announced. According to Baz, the producers are keen for Louise Redknapp to take on one of the lead roles.

Diana was the best thing about 'Big' the musical- her voice was stellar and she far exceeded my expectations.
Was happy to see this news, though I presumed she'd be going to the West End with 'Big' sometime.

Quite intrigued by this.... I might book a ticket when it comes up near Crewe.
I do agree, I saw Diana as Little Voice, she was fantastic.. Although nothing will beat Jane Horrocks for me.

Full casting announced.
Joining the previously announced Diana Vickers, Debra Stephenson and Ian Reddington will be Michael Howe, Michelle Long, Kate Hardisty, Cassiopeia Berkeley-Agyepong, Lewis Kidd, Liam Vincent-Kilbride, Jon Bonner, Rachael McAllister, Ellie-Jane Goddard, Gary Mitchinson and Jess Barker.
Also, perhaps unsurprisingly given Craig Revel-Horwood's involvement, it's going to be actor-muso.
