I know everyone wants to see what Ruth is like in the role but with any other show as long as the standby and understudy are available the 2nd understudy may never go on. I know it says they are all alternates but that doesn't really seem like the system that's in place.

It is listed as an alternate situation, but clearly it isn't. I see it as Amber being main, Marisha being Alternate/1st Cover, Karen being Alternate/2nd Cover, Ruth being 3rd Cover. |

Was at the show tonight - it was definitely Amber!! Just trying to reconfigure my facial features because pretty much the whole cast just screamed in my face for 2.5 hours. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it! Just found it somewhat relentless. I felt there was lack of light and shade. It was big number after big number after belting after big number after belting and it all kind of merged into one big melting pot of (nonetheless incredibly impressive) noise. I would be lying if I said it wasn't an amazing show - stunning costumes and great sound / lighting design putting the icing on an incredible cake (the cake being the stellar cast - mostly) and I feel guilty in saying it wasn't for me. I didn't have time to breathe and take it in, which I need when I go to a big show like that. I get that the story is relentless, their success just snowballed and didn't stop for years and years and they all lost track, I get that. Just found it somewhat hard to process....
That being said, I will be making a return visit! Undeniably enjoyable for even the harshest critic I think!

Just watched Marisha's Instagram story of her in her dressing room with some other cast members and Karen was there with her! Anyone else find I think weird how Karen was in the building too when Marisha and Amber were performing?!

When I saw it is was the understudy as Emma (Fannys assistant) and the Usher told me that she plays the role full time now and Natasha just sits backstage incase something happens with Sheridan. Also, seems Candace is first cover Lorell too now as Jocasta is in the ensemble just not on as Lorell?! Has Ibinabo been off for a while

As mentioned before, the TV screen in the lobby as you descend the stairs had a cast list on for me, a static one, when i went in Jan. Nobody else seems to have experienced this which is odd....
