Cameron Mackintosh has just said on the One Show they're hoping to bring Mary back to London before the end of the year Might be difficult with the lack of suitable theatres but something might become available like Drury Lane.

So what other transfers are rumoured then. Here's a list of a few:
Sleepless Big Waitress Strictly Ballroom Young Frakenstein Mary Poppins
Not enough theatres to accommodate them all, this year will be interesting!!

I wouldn't be surprised if only 1 or 2 transfers, maybe none at all. I don't personally think Sleepless will nor Big.

I think Mary Poppins and Waitress will happen for sure, in medium size houses. And I think Big could do a limited run somewhere, a filler. I can imagine Young Frankenstein doing a run at the Southwark Playhouse or somewhere similar. I don't see Sleepless coming in eithr, unless a limited run. Strictly Ballroom, I know nothing about.

Dunno bout the other shows, but if Young Frankenstein wants to come into London, they'll be wanting a West End house as their already confirmed out-of-town tryout is happening at the 1,200-seater Newcastle Theatre Royal this August!

Ah, I didn't realise this. I would imagine, in that case, it will do a run somewhere like the Playhouse Theatre, or Piccadilly. The Playhouse would be more likely I imagine, as they will want to get another long-runner into the Piccadilly asap, with a short filler between, so August is a bit long to wait for it.

The Playhouse is terrible for musicals, I doubt YF would go there unless there were completely desperate.

I don't really know where it could go that it would run successfully, unless a filler show or limited run as I can't see it being a long-runner. Unless it already has a theatre booked, its gonna be tough to get a show into London with all the rumoured transfers and shows already booked to be dropping by London.

I understand a certain trip down memory lane (or should that be Street) is selling so poorly that a monster of a show has found its West End home.

Place your bets on 42nd Street out, Mary Poppins in ladies and gents. 😂😂 In all seriousness though, I don't wish it to fail at all, I always want to see a successful run, especially in such a beautiful theatre.

I would like to throw a spanner in the works and say my fair lady will replace it as it has its 60th anniversary and there was a production recently in Sydney opera housecdirected by Julie Andrews and is a good show that will sell and one I really want to see.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cameron Mackintosh revives the 2001 production of My Fair Lady for Drury Lane in 2018
