Any thoughts as to why this is premiering on Michael Ball’s show and not Elaine Page’s Musicals show? Higher listening figures or do Patti and Page have beef? Would imagine it's because of higher listening. My mother has Radio 2 on 24/7 but, without fail, always turns Elaine's programme off; she doesn't mind the theatre, just not showtunes for two hours! Whereas I love EP's programme. It wouldn't surprise me if most of R2's listeners turn it down for this reason. |

Yes I'd imagine Ball's show is one of the higher rated at the weekend- mid morning when people are driving about, at home etc. and it's also a 'magazine' programme rather than highly specialist. So I'd imagine it's a ratings decision.

Patti has griped more than once about not getting to star in 'Anything Goes' in London because Paige co-produced the production's London run so that she could star in it herself.
But then, Patti has griped more than once about nearly everything.

Went for the second time today - Row B of stalls for £25.00. Great show and great performances, especially from Rosalie, Mel and Patti (Patti was very powerful today). It was wonderful to see it up-close. Didn’t even realise the guy playing Jamie wasn’t Jonathan!!!

For £19.50, would you go back of the stalls or back of the upper circle? (The cheap boxes for the performance I'm looking at are already taken.) I can get pretty central for either. I've sat back of the upper circle before and I've stood at the back of the stalls but not sat before, and I don't know if sitting back there will make the view worse by my head being a couple of feet further down?

I sat in the back of the stalls and the view was grand and felt fairly close. All I missed was the orchestra above really. For a chance to feel “closer” over the sweeping view of everything I’d go back of stalls. |

If we consider the four names on the poster (Rosalie, Mel, Patti and Jonathan) the leads, then Patti is the only one yet to miss a show. Rosalie has missed one, Mel has missed two (I can't remember if it was a double show or single show day she missed) and Jonathan has missed two now (if he was off for both shows yesterday). So amazing runs for the four really! |

Ooh, forgot to say, ANTONIO BANDERAS was in attendance on Wednesday night!!
Just a couple of rows behind our Row H seats which we got for a £40 current bargain! Well worth it!

Whilst I agree with that, we should take into account Patti's age and that Rosalie doesn't leave the stage, whilst some of these alternate roles do maybe three big numbers if that, has offstage time and some aren't that much of a demand in the acting either. Not trying to cause issue haha, just bringing the point up.  |

In fact I was quite shocked at just how many normally leading actors have taken minor roles for this show. e.g. Ben Lewis must only have a few lines before Ladies Who Lunch, and that's about it. I guess they're doing it for the prestige... |
