For those purchasing advance tickets, is the best option the theatre website or are there other (better) options? I booked through the Delfont Mackintosh site. You will get to pick your exact seats and there are no booking fees. Agencies are great too but they get an allotment so their ticket options may be slightly different.

I just want to check if in the opinion of all of you it would be okay to go to a Thursday Matinee and then join everyone at the stage door after the evening performance? I wouldn't usually do it but I REALLY want to meet Patti, I'm just thinking if everyone did it though she'd have double the fans to deal with. Also if anyone's been to a midweek matinee of the show, is there still a good audience buzz going on?

I think if you've seen the show, it's reasonable. If you're rolling up *just* to try and meet people it's a bit cheeky, but considering a lot of performers won't come out after a matinee, it's reasonable for you to try after an evening performance, and I think the crowds won't be as enormous as they are at other shows, so why not?

Give it a go. What's the worst La LuPone can do? Lamp you with a mobile phone?
I'd happily accept that. I'd even drink to it.

The atmosphere on a cold Monday evening was better than many shows I have attended on Fri/Sat nights!

Yes I would say it’s reasonable to stroll on back after the evening show, especially as you’ve seen it that very day.

I’m back for round 2 on Thursday - and to finally see Rosalie! - and I’m almost as excited as the first time.

They do seem to have maintained solid prices for this so far.

How lovely in his yellow sweater. Obviously he'll be a groom himself soon when he becomes the current Mr Ryan.

Ugh, that was amazing. I was worried as I thought my other half was going to hate it (I'd tried to get him to listen to some of the songs before, but he's always hated them), but he loved it too.
I was really nervous after 'Company', as it seems that Rosalie perhaps started in the wrong key? I'm not entirely sure, but her voice sounded really strained at the very, very beginning, but other than that very slight hick up at the beginning it was just amazing. I actually think perhaps the best thing I've ever seen live? I just can't put into words how much I loved the entire thing. The staging was amazing. OH AND PATTI. Ugh<3
I need to see it again.

Thank you everyone for your replies! It seemed a no-brainer to book a matinee when seats as far forward as Row Q Stalls were reduced to £30 each.
To be honest Ms LuPone could punch me right in the face and I'd probably still clap her!

Marianne gets her OBE today. Of course Patti is still the actual Queen.

If Patti LuPone slapped me, I'd just assume I deserved it somehow. She strikes me (haha) as the harsh-but-fair sort.

When this transfers to Broadway (when, not if) I hear a rumor that Audra McDonald will be Bobbie....she would be AMAZING! And she's friends with Patti so that would keep the KWEEN happy too

Isn’t Audra too old for this role? I’ve no doubt she would be able to sing it well, but she doesn’t read as 35. She always seems to have a very mature aura about her somehow. Interesting rumour though.
