Adrian Lester as Bobby spent the evening drinking spirits, smoking pot, taking coke, visiting friends, clubbing and dating woman. All activities associated with having a good time it was clear he wasn’t having a good time but he was going through the motions, just like all Bobby’s do Yet another night when Baz has no news Does he club them before or after dating them... Baz? Wow, this has taken a dark turn

He's probably on holiday now for 3 weeks.

He's probably on holiday now for 3 weeks. Will the UK’s theatre scene be able carry on without his tweets ?

I am going on closing night. My second ever closing night on the west-end! (I was at the closing night of Sunset Boulevard with Glenn Close).

Did they announce when closing is? Already?! I’m fairly sure it’s always been billed as a limited run.

Was it? I could swear I've never seen it billed as such. Not challenging your claims and you are probably right but I've been following it for a while and never saw it billed as limited. I'm seeing the first preview.

On the Delfont Mackintosh site, it says "26 September to 22nd December". I know a "booking until" date isn't the same as a "closing date", but given the firmness of the dates and the high quality of the cast, I wouldn't count on an extension. No harm hoping for one, but definitely don't count on it.

I definitely think this will close 22 December.

I definitely think this will close 22 December. When Baz announces the news, someone tweeted him if it would be extended, and I believe he said it would. They could always replace actors if necessary.

Marianne Elliot is doing Desert Island Discs this morning (R4 11.15 am) - should be worth a listen.

To the best of my knowledge this was always a limited run (as were/are the Elliott Harper productions so far) Yes they could have a sneaky extension already booked in for a few weeks, for 'popular demand' extension, but longer than that is unlikely I think.
I don't think it's one they'd be looking to replace actors in, it being very much 'Marianne Elliott, Patti LuPone and Rosalie Craig' above the title as it were. And, as much as I adore Company it's not a show that has (or indeed needs) 3 years in the West End or whatever.

My guess is that "some" people will want to be home for Christmas at least. Given that they could have run it over the festive season and picked up the advance bookings back then, it would seem odd to extend. Also they do want to close the Noel Coward at some point for maintenance according to last week's press. Against that, a smash hit and Christmas week takings could mean swift negotiations, perhaps. Company is at the Gielgud but I imagine they’ll be wanting to close it for a period if they’re planning to move Les Mis there when the Queens closes for renovations

How is the legroom and overall comfort here? I'm 5'11 so usually always spring for an aisle seat, but third row center seems too good to pass up. Should I be ok here?

The chance may just be worth it. A center view would be great but being off to the side and comfortable and maybe just missing some side action might be worth it too hmmm.

Quick look at the seating plans and this is a very long way from sold out. Probs a bit niche. Not a Sondheim fan but will definitely go as LOVE Patti and also the rest of the cast is top notch. Hoping for some dynamic pricing discounts nearer the time though.
Just a thought (again from a non Sondheim fan) - why is the ticket demand for Follies with Imelda astronomical - but the demand for Company with Patti (surely a bigger name in MT circles) luke warm at best? I don't know the answer.

Imelda Staunton is a much bigger name in the UK in general though. Casual theatre goers will know of her but won't really know Patti LuPone.

She certainly doesn't have that general public "well loved" status that Staunters has.

Also, the National is a subscriber house with lots of people who will book for anything there.

Were this Company at the National may well have sold out by now.... Plus the Nash is much cheaper and has a loyal fan base. Although I’m unsure how long the fan base will hang around for ...
