There were tickets when i got in at 12, ends of rows by the wall but they’d all gone when i clicked on any. I thought I had a pair in my cart, but sadly not. But I managed to get a standing ticket eventually, so that's that. I had the same issue! But finally seeing it, albeit standing, on Saturday 14th matinee! |

So far no sign of any tickets being released (multiple friends checking multiple dates since 12pm). Wonder why the Donmar haven’t hit the release button yet? It’s 12:11 now.. Managed to keep refreshing the one date I wanted and tickets appeared in Stalls and that pair in the side circle cheapies. Booked! Keep refreshing! |

Last time I saw nudity on stage at the Donmar was My Night With Reg and Julian Ovenden walking past me in my aisle seat and he was very close to me. And I didn't even have to pay any extra for the seat. I'd forgotten about this! I was also in an aisle seat and he almost had my eye out! |

I think returns will probably be the best bet for seeing this. I managed to get great seats for both N2N and The Bands Visit at Donmar through lucky timing of browsing the site for tickets. Agree returns are likely a best bet here! I got sidetracked in a meeting and missed the 12pm release today but managaged to get two side seats at 1:10pm. I think the Donmar site might hold tickets in someones basket a bit longer than other ticketing sites? |

I got lucky on this one (unlike Old Vic. Through at 12, then picked up a standing ticket for next week due to ticket prices. There were lots of outside circle tickets up until February though.

I logged in at 2pm and there were 2 tickets available for different dates. I didn't buy them though since there were on the very far end of left side and for that price I'd expect a better vision. Will get the comps when it transfers 😉

Just returned two tix for the 19 Dec pm show - get in quick! Sadly, returned tickets to the Donmar and Almeida get held for guests and VIPS when their shows are Sold Out, and will only be released to the general public just before the show. Anyone know of any others that don't put them back on public sale? If you'd like returns to go to members of the Theatreboard, pop them on the Noticeboard. |

Not sure that’s true - I got several returns for Comet for myself and friends.
Yesterday, even; for first preview.
Confirmed by box office that they dump them back onto the website.

The content warning got recently updated. CONTENT ADVICE PLEASE NOTE: There is partial nudity on stage. This production also contains a live flame, feathers, haze, guns and gunshots. Does this mean that the Donmar is finally giving the people what they want and letting Muscato (partially) strip downstage center? That'd sell out a transfer run to hungry theatre fans. They’ve just added “indecent exposure using a prosthetic” to the content advice? I’ve listened to the recording a bunch, cannot fathom where that’ll be coming in! |

So far the bears have been used to highlight Natasha’s child-like innocence. When they arrive at Marya’s, she has a small bear with her luggage. Then she sings No One Else cuddling a large bear. The indecent exposure with a prosthetic I think occurs during Natasha & Bolkonskys, but it was very blink and you’ll miss it. I’m loving it so far. I saw the original cast on Broadway and so pleased to finally have it in London. |

I haven’t had this much fun in a long time.
It’s absurdist and glam rock and so so fun.
The costumes are sort of 80s/90s USSR. The vocals are insanely good - harmonies were utterly delicious.
I’ll write more detailed review tomorrow but I can see it dividing some. It’s different and irreverent and gosh, it’s good!

Ahhh so excited. Also saw this in NYC; loved the sound design and production (imo one of the best shows I’ve seen it that regard) but … didn’t vibe until I listened to the cast recording.
