"By special arrangement with R&H Theatricals Europe, The London Musical Theatre Orchestra (conducted by Freddie Tapner) is presenting the UK symphonic premiere of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s State Fair at the Cadogan Hall at :30 pm on Sunday 6th November. It will be directed by Thom Southerland and performed by a host of West End stars including Wendi Peters (Melissa Frake): Richard Fleeshman (Pat): Emma Hatton (Emily): Oliver Savile (Wayne) and Celinde Schoenmaker (Margy). The musical is set against the colourful backdrop of an American State Fair following the Frake family who leave behind the routine of the farm for three days of adventure at the annual Iowa State Fair. State Fair features songs such as “It Might as Well Be Spring”, “That’s for Me” and “More Than Just a Friend”. Under director Thom Southerland, the musical will be performed in London for the first time. LMTO was launched earlier this year, and is the first professional orchestra dedicated to musical theatre."
