I was able to get a front row ticket for the first Saturday very easily. After all the build-up, I'm honestly a little disappointed.

It's going slowly - I've just dropped to 22. Everyone is either taking their time or there's already a few hundred people on the website.

Started at 170, queue moving slowly now. How does Baemax do it? Getting rather annoyed about keep reading of all these bookings (Angels in America, Hamilton etc) that some people seem to have no trouble with

Queue is going down slowly. I was 1055 and am now 959 after seven minutes. Just tried another browser but this gets "Sorry, our virtual waiting room is full"

Well someone's got to be the lucky one to get through first. If it helps any, Hamilton booking was a pretty horrifying experience for me, and I'm still 30,000+ away from the front of both Cursed Child queues.

It's not giving me the option to select seats?

Could other people see the seating plan like you normally do or did you just get allocated seats?

You just get allocated a seat, looked at every date for the previews and they've all been up in the Gods (and at the back of the Gods at that) - I don't think I'll bother.

I looked through all the dates twice and and was getting offered stuff at the back of the dress circle, so just gave up and closed the window on my PC, if I had been that bothered about going, I would have paid full price for stalls seats.

From the sound of it this was much harder than getting tickets for "Art" previews - I got straight in and was able to select seats for that one - so presumably today's scrum was the Radcliffe Factor.

Also gave up when I didn't get offered a stalls seat. Expected it to be busier because of Radcliffe but I wonder if the Old Vic has got wise to us 'old hands' hoovering up all the £10 stalls tickets? I think they say half the auditorium will be £10 but maybe that doesn't include any/many in the stalls now?

I forgot about it, then logged on, was 1990 in the queue and all the preview tickets were gone - which I actually felt okay about because I hope eager Radcliffe fans got them. I just went back on and there are a scattering of inexpensive stalls tickets on some dates. I got the famous Q aisle seat (the monkey special) for a Friday night in March for £21 and one a few rows behind that, also on the aisle for £16, so you can check this show out without breaking your bank balance if you can be a bit flexible.

Thanks foxa - been waiting for the 'select your own' seat option to be available. Much easier to figure out how much I'm prepared to spend to see it when I can see all the options!

Oh definitely, CG! And even though those seats aren't the amazing £10 bargain, you are sat right next to someone who paid £55 so that gives a certain smug satisfaction (I saw Groundhog Day from those narrow pillar seats, once from Q and once from U both were fine, though Q obviously better.) I am a cheapskate, but I can't handle the Old Vic slips, so in this case, I'd rather pay a bit more anyway. Happy booking.

Oh is that what it was, the Radcliffe factor? I'd overlooked that That goodness for Monkey specials.
