On another note, I liked Bernadette Peters as Sally. On paper, BP isn't frumpy at all - she is glamorous... but the way she played it, it was more that she was insecure. BP is am amazing talent but as she is a caricature of herself, not sure she was quite right even though i enjoyed her performance.

Watching this video, isn't Imelda's dress exactly the same shade of green as her Rose's Turn dress?

Watching this video, isn't Imelda's dress exactly the same shade of green as her Rose's Turn dress? Given that the NT has the begging bowl out to fund this production, perhaps it's the same dress!

I can't buy tickets for this, it says that my payment was unsuccessful. My friends tried too and... yep, unsuccessful payment again. We don't know why :_)

Try a different browser? Some of them make the website behave a little temperamentally, that'd always be my first call if I wasn't managing to successfully book something at the NT.

The press photo and the photo shoot video is the most non-thing I've seen today. Nothing. About it is exciting. Try again, NT.

I think they tried using different browsers too... hm, I'm from Spain, could that be the problem? :/ Oh and I sent a message to NT but they didn't reply )))))))))))))))))))

I was on the walkway today and it looks like they're building a full scale derelict theatre. There's a huge bank of ruined raked seats that curve just like The Olivier and loads of crumbling brick walls. I think it will be very spectacular.

My family decided to book a trip to London just after Christmas this year...I'm so excited that I got tickets to Follies, and especially the opportunity to see Philip Quast.

I did the backstage tour on Saturday and saw some of the photos of what they are working to - there looks to be a serious amount of set to it!

I wrote to the box office and they contacted me and while they didn't solve the online booking problem they did offer me an alternative way to book. Write to them again and I'm sure they will be able to help you.

they did offer me an alternative way to book Knew the NT pigeon coup would come in handy again some day... I see what you did there. For a monkey, you are so clever. Anybody else would have gone for the obvious, and spelt pigeon coup as coop!

If the government of Papua New Guinea was overthrown by native speakers, would that be a pidgin coup?

What are people's senses about how this is selling? Seems a decent amount of availability for the random dates I picked to have a look at in December. For the talent involved should it have sold more? Or will it do better once it starts previewing and gets 'buzz'? Would love to know your thoughts.

Some rehearsal images released for those who like that sort of thing. Including Imelda peeking out behind some MDF and GI Janie learning a routine. Hopefully a tap number. La Cage Aux Follies

Sorry if someone's posted this already, but for those of you thinking of seeing Follies in the cinema I thought some of you might like to know it's possible to book for £9 (and probably even slightly cheaper, rather than the £20 or so most cinemas are charging). This works in cineworld, and probably others but I haven't checked. If you go onto Ebay and search for "cineworld ticket" and buy one voucher code. I paid £8.50 for one to be sent instantly, but you can pay less and wait a bit longer. The pages say the tickets aren't valid for theatre productions, but ignore it. Then go to the booking page for Follies at your cineworld, and put in your voucher code. Then checkout, and it'll charge you another 50p for booking. That's it. I don't think they'll close this loophole and it's worked for ages (I used it for Newsies ages ago) so no rush. For those who want to be sure it'll work, I bought my voucher from www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cineworld-Tickets-Instant-Adult-Ticket/253067842147?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 but I'd imagine the other sellers are the same. Looking forward to this now. One of the few Sondheims I've yet to see.

Very happy to of just booked what appears to be literally the last ticket for previews, for just £28! Really excited for my first time at the National Theatre (I've seen NT shows before, but only transfers!) and also excited for this amazing cast in a show I know nothing about!

Get yourself an Entry Pass my love! Costs absolutely nothing to get one, and it'll get you £7.50 tickets (and £10 tickets for mates) to any show at the National until you're 26. Never know what else may take your fancy at the NT over the next few years, or you might fancy trying something you never thought you'd see considering it's so cheap! And if you don't use it, at least didn't cost anything. P.S. welcome back, try and keep yourself out of trouble this time

P.S. welcome back, try and keep yourself out of trouble this time Oh see I've done the whole entry pass application thing and it has yet to work. I've tried 3 times now and for some reason it just doesn't work for me. It always comes up with "error with your registration" so I just gave up in the end. I'm not too fussed, I don't mind paying full price to see a show there as I don't go to the National and it puts money into theatre which is always a good thing.
And thank you, I pass that message not just to myself but also to one or two others who know exactly who they are.
