I was wondering about a day trip to catch it in Leeds while I'm on holiday in Yorkshire, but even for a midweek matinee the prices are ludicrous, so I'll wait for it to reach London and for offers to appear.

From £10.50 in Nottingham...which is why I'm seeing it in Nottingham, rather than Leeds, York or Salford.

Managed to get one of the last few remaining tickets for the Newcastle run, though for £60 I thought it was a bit pricey. Looking forward to it though, and to seeing Fleeshman & his guns again.

The entire Newcastle run is now sold out.
Press night tonight with an extra special performance from Sting (standard) and exciting celebrities in the audience like Alan Shearer, Denise "don't mention the panto" Welch, Joe Mcelderry and Ricky Wilson.

The northern stage like to do these, they call them a "straight from work performance".
There's also a post show discussion on Tuesday which I assume all ticket holders can stay for?

I had to bite the bullet myself and pay £60, I had cat care issues to arrange, then it sold out and this week some tickets became available. Thought this would be a great musical to see in its native territory. |

The Times revue is really, really positive, but they then spoil it by giving it only 3 stars. In my book, a 3 star production is only average. |

A really great show. Fantastic cast and the physical production design is really quite impressive. The projections are particularly strong and work really well for this production.
I stayed back for the post show talk tonight and it seems there is definitely a hope for this production to continue after the current tour. A question in particular asked about a return to northern stage next year and it certainly seems that’s on the cards.

Saw the matinee today and it was phenomenal. The set and projections did it for me, they were so slick and clever. Some really great performances from everyone and it’s so refreshing to see a tight ensemble where each actor gets their own standout moment. It’s got a great message and I really hope it gets the same recognition on tour that it does here in Newcastle, they really deserve it.
Go and see it!

I've just been in Liverpool and it visits there in April so there are huge bus stop posters everywhere and a huge backdrop up in front of the theatre. Can see it doing very well there!

Sadly going to miss this while its in Newcastle. However I saw one of the crew on the bus from town tonight and I hope everyone likes Malteaser easter eggs because by the looks of it they're all getting those.
