Not doing arenas any more. Don’t like them. Shame it’s not at the Bridgewater Hall.

Glad to see Sheridan is back singing again. I was worried after Opening Night she would not return to musicals again for a while (not that she was in anyway to blame for that shambles).

Just tried the presale. Seems to be fixed price of £42.50.
Seeing this show would involve an overnight coach trip back to London for me so decided I would only book if I could get front row but so far the seat map is refusing to load.
Similar shows in London don't quite sell out the far smaller Royal Albert Hall, there's over 23000 seats here to fill.

They've left it pretty late to put on sale and try and sell 23000 seats.

I used Co-op pre-sale, got on right at 9:30am with no queue. First 8 rows of the centre block were not on sale. I got the 9th row for £70 (which is top price at the moment but Ticketmaster use dynamic pricing). I imagine the first 8 rows of the centre block might be put on sale at a higher price tomorrow.

I looked at some of the seat blocks near the back which cost £42.50 but then tried to load the map without success so logged out.

It seems this whole concert was announced very late. I think a lot of people and families will have already planned and budgeted for their Christmas concert/panto/theatre outing. 20th Dec a lot of people would already have plans.

I told my friends about it in case they were interested and the response was “no thanks, Funny Girl was bad enough” 😯

Alfie Boe has been added to the line-up. They're probably thinking if they pile enough names on the bill then more bums on seats... Looking at the seat plan, they seem to have sold seats in really weird way- there's loads of blocks with alternate rows on sale

The discounting has started. Just seen an ad for reduced price tickets if you sign up to the Co-Op app. Not sure how much discount there is, as when I started the process you had to pay to join. I'm sure more sites will follow soon as there's still lots of seats left despite heavy publicity across Manchester

If it was in my village hall I couldn’t put myself through seeing Sheridan

Came into work to see that they’re offering our organisation 2-4-1 tickets so they must be getting desperate!

Latest advertising slant on Facebook
"Sheridan Smith invites you to get up and party to festive and theatre favourites...."

Went to the Co-op arena yesterday to see Sam Fender and this was plastered on every advertising screen. They seem very desperate to sell the tickets. Tempted to go when it pops up on the seat filling websites.
