Didn't see a thread for this, apologies if I missed it.
This is one of the few regularly produced Ibsen plays that I had never seen so I popped along to this in Sheffield on Friday evening after my matinee of Heathers right next door. Very cool having both venues right next to each other.
This was absolutely absorbing. From the minute you walk in, the house stands on stage, lit and projected in such a way that gives it a ghostly, transparent feel. Immediately sets the right atmosphere and the lighting of this show is absolutely perfect. Having a venue like the Crucible must be a dream to a designer! In this case, the technical team got this picture perfect.
Cast are outstanding, Siena Kelly barely leaves the stage for even a minute for the whole 2hr 45, she is superbly impressive as Nora. So much work playing this character and she does it brilliantly. There are no weak links in this cast at all. I was particularly impressed by Eben Figueiredo as Krogstadt. Having read the play since seeing it, I can see how the character could be played very two dimensionally, but he elevates it, makes him believable, intense, menacing, but never a panto villain. Every time he appears on stage, he ratcheted up the tense atmosphere which builds throughout.
This is running until next weekend, definitely recommended by me. As someone who is 90% musicals, it was great to re-ignite the reasons why I love theatre in the first place, a well acted, directed, written piece of theatre that was utterly engaging throughout.

Totally agree with your comments darreno. A really great production of this classic play and reading the reviews of the critics they all seem to be in agreement as well. A very solid 4⭐️ show for me when I saw it last month.
