Eugene O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten too which is one of the most boring plays I've ever sat through. |

Daisy Edgar-Jones' theatre project she was teasing a few months ago turned out to be this. It's in a way a homecoming as her last theatre role was Albion at the Almeida.
I'm more excited for Ruth Wilson and Michael Shannon in A Moon for the Misbegotten, I've never seen her on stage and while Michael Shannon is mostly known for screen work, he's done plenty of theatre,

Interesting that both Daisy E-J and Paul Mescal have now done Williams' plays at the Almeida directed by Frecknall!

No mention in the season announcement of a transfer for The Years.

I rather like Kingsley Ben-Adir so I'd be wanting to see it for him! I've only ever seen his screen work, most recently Bob Marley: One Love so am going to book even though I've seen Cat on a Hot Tin Roof before which was the Young Vic production with Jack O'Connell and Sienna Miller. |

Yes, it's possible, but he's shrewd enough to know this will be like Streetcar all over again. I'll eat my hat if this doesn't go beyond N1. Super supporting cast as well. |

Fantastic news. I haven't seen Cat on a Hot Tin Roof since the superb Howard Davies version at the NT in 1988 with Lyndsey Duncan and Ian Charleson and an amazing supporting cast. Still one of the best things I've ever seen. And I love Frecknall's work.
Moon for the Misbegotten I certainly remember enjoying in the Trevor Nunn/Kevin Spacey era at the Old Vic (2006 Google tells me). And I'm delighted to hear about Rhinoceros too as I've hardly seen any Ionesco (just the brilliant Complicité The Chairs in the late 90s. I think I'm going to have to renew my membership for the first time since the end of the Kent/McDiarmid era.

Had the very odd experience of trying to book tickets over the phone today as the website wasn't recognising I had a membership.
Tickets booked for January, although didn't like not having the seat chart available to see what to buy.

Eugene O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten too which is one of the most boring plays I've ever sat through. Thought Spacey was fantastic in the Old Vic production but dear goodness its 3 and a half hours or so of going round in circles. Saw the Murat Daltaban version of Rhinoceros about 10 years ago and its an interesting play that I think will stand and fall on how the director sees the finale. |
