The cast can technically still do Broadway, Los Angeles, the UK tour and the London run. If they miss anything it will probably be the tour. I booked for Liverpool as it’s a large theatre; so they may appear there simply to fill the seats.

I really want to see this again, it’s probably the best of the ‘Goes Wrong’s, but will hold off booking as it still says casting to be announced.

So there'll be a tour cast and a London cast? Is this new info, or did we expect this?

The show will not be on tour during the London run. The London run is part of the tour schedule. We don’t yet know if there will be two casts or one cast.

I can imagine the mostly-original cast would be more likely to do the WE than the UK, if they do anything. I'm not banking on it but will probably pick up a few tickets for the run just in case...

The Broadway production will have celebrity guest stars. Not sure if the London production will or not.

Neil Patrick Harris will return to Broadway this month for a limited run in Peter Pan Goes Wrong. Harris will be in the show April 11-30 taking on the role of Francis, the narrator. Harris will not perform on Friday, April 21 or Saturday, April 22 (matinee).

Harris is the first performer to take on this special guest start slot; future guests will be announced at a later date. In the BBC’s screen adaptation of the comedy, David Suchet took on the role.

So this will be running in London at the same time as Jennifer Saunders is starring in the Peter Pan panto at the Palladium. Surely Dawn French and Joanna Lumley need to be guest narrators in this.

I'm hoping they don't feel the need to resort to stunt casting Francis, or any other role for that matter. I can understand why they did it on Broadway but both Mischief/Goes Wrong and Peter Pan as a pantomime are better known in the UK than in America. They didn't need to do any stunt casting for the first 2 WE runs or the previous UK tours so I hope they won't this time around either.

PPGW is in Liverpool this week so I popped down to the Empire to catch it on Tuesday night and had an absolutely brilliant night out watching this. Having seen it a few years ago in the WE, I can say that the script from Sawyer, Lewis and Shields holds up really well on a second viewing.

I can't fault any of the cast, delivering the show with the fun and energy that you would expect from a Mischief show. The audience I was sat with got fully involved with all the audience participation / pantomime bits both pre and during the show. 

I can definitely recommend seeing this tour if it comes to a theatre near you over the coming months. It will certainly put a smile on your face.

I saw this a few nights ago and had a good time!

Peter Pan Goes Wrong has always been one of my less favorite Mischief Theatre works; it's heavily dependent on "mugging" moments where actors have to drag out simple jokes for minutes. This is great in the hands of talented improvisational performers but otherwise can slip into cringe.

Luckily, out of the three casts I've seen, this one is probably the best. Harry Kershaw handled Hook's pantomime shenanigans brilliantly. Matthew Howell might be a better Robert than Henry Lewis himself - the "Gimme the sworrrr~" sequence was hysterical, as was his Mr. Bumble monologue. The sequences with the narrator were less effective, but his material has always been the weakest anyway, so it's hard to blame the actor. And I'm sure the show will only get better as the cast refamiliarize themselves with their roles and each other.

Went to see this last night and what a great night out.
I have only seen The Play About A Bank Robbery before plus all their stuff on TV so knew it would be my kind of humour.
Dont think I have laughed so much in years. The jokes and slapstick come so fast its hard to keep up in a way. Loved the pre-show as well which really got you in the "silly" mood.
Cast excellent and I really don't know how they do it every night plus matinees, they must be worn out. Timing is amazing and I think its harder to make mistakes than do it properly.
Quite a lot of kids there who were loving it, I think mainly because the jokes come so often and so fast they don't have time to be bored.
They were also pretty well behaved. One of my favourite moments was when Captain Hook is going to poison Peter Pan and there was a good 10 minutes of ad libbing from Hook with heckling from the audience. It was clear this was off the cuff and not planned at all. Best bit was when he got a little girl to unscrew the bottle of poison and then blamed her for murdering Peter Pan.
I heard a couple of kids on the way out telling their parents that it was the best thing they have ever seen.
You would have to be a pretty miserable person not to find this play funny.
I am now going to book for The Play That Goes Wrong as I am ashamed to say I have not seen it yet.

Saw this the other night whilst in town.

Enjoyed it overall, but I felt some jokes went on for far too long and were overly laboured. Having got home and watched the televised version on Iplayer, I found the pacing of that to be much better given that it was only an hour long. The same jokes, but just not as laboured. (The narrator frozen on stage grinning manically whilst waiting to be hauled off for what felt like five minutes didn't really chime with me).

Cast was great - I'm fairly sure there were a few moments where Charlie Russell stuck her head in her hands to hide corpsing because it really didn't fit what the character would've done at that moment.


Felt sorry for the poor kid nearby who kept asking their mum "if they were still alive" when the accidents happen.
