Anyone seen (or intending to see) this ? Reviews, such as they are, are mixed. For what it's worth - I enjoyed this staging, although unfortunately, I'm not one for long-winded reviews. A few moments with demonstrable sparks of imagination here and there and at times it really did feel like you might be on board of the Pequod together with the crew. The songs, however, were mostly lacking and the finale was sort of underwhelming. I had tickets for the cheapest seats and at that price I certainly do NOT regret seeing this at all. 6.5/10 |

The staging and lighting is beautiful and fits perfectly into this venue. Sadly, the story is letting this down. At intermission, I felt like nothing really happened yet other than some setup of the story. The songs add to the atmosphere but not so much to the story. They're also a bit hard to understand at times without mics, especially during the songs when the instruments are louder.
