Hi! Not sure we’ve had a thread of this before so I thought I’d create one :-)
In the franchise there is:- West end musical celebration West end musical love songs West end musical Halloween West end musical Christmas
The cast for west end musical love songs has just been confirmed for 8/9 March at the Apollo theatre.
Cast for west end musical love songs Aimie Atkinson Cassidy Janson Georgina Castle Glenn Adamson Natalie Kassanga Grace Mouat Michael Xavier Shanay Holmes (herself, as the founder)
What do you think? Have you been to any of these concerts previously?

Is there any show or concert that Grace Mouat isn't appearing in?! She seems to be everywhere!

Just seen that the latest one (Love Songs) tomorrow and Saturday hasn't sold well at all. So many tickets left and discounts too. I must say I enjoyed a couple of these during covid times as it was a great opportunity to see musical theatre performers live and get back in a theatre again, but currently, with so much choice of shows in London, they don't really appeal to me anymore.

I was there last night. It was actually a really good, fun evening, with some fantastic talent on stage…highlights for me were Cassidy Janson singing Heaven help my heart, and Natural Woman, and Michael Xavier, and Georgina Castle was a real surprise too…and Shanay Holmes singing I will always love you, blew the roof off. For less than the price of a meal out this was well worth a night out. And it was packed. I know the tickets were on seat filler sites, but to highlight the talent onstage I think this sort of concert definitely has a place. I’d go to more of these.

This show was abysmal sadly. Talent on stage was good but everything else was beyond budget. Pre-recorded music that sounded terrible ( with the exception of a saxophonist ) / poor song selection of some real obscure numbers / terrible stage set of helium heart balloons / cringeworthy “please singalong” to your favorite songs ( why in heavens name would I want to hear Gertrude seated next to me belt her heart out ) … I left at interval. The discovery that the show was on seat fillers would explain some of the more “interesting” audience members in attendance 😂 Really not worth wasting your money on future “West End Musical” concerts

...they used pre recorded tracks instead of a live band?
Prime example that just because you can put on a concert, doesn't mean you have ANY business doing so 😂

As I mentioned before, I think these started originally during covid times and I went to a couple. At the time they were really enjoyable, mainly because it was such a thrill to be in a theatre again, and hear/see some of my favourite west end performers, but given the poor ticket sales for this one, I can't imagine they commercially make sense? I know I wasn't tempted this time, even though I particularly like Cassidy Janson.
