I can imagine the story is going to be non existent along the lines of WWRY but I am SO excited for this.
I grew up with Meat Loaf and I'm dying to see who is cast.

I'll even be getting up ridiculously early on Friday morning to download the AutoRip version of Braver Than We Are from Amazon. Really happy to see that Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf have teamed up again.

Has anyone listened to Braver Than We Are yet? A couple of great songs on there, especially Going All The Way Is Just The Start, but it pains me to see Meat Loaf in such poor health, and that really comes across on the album. Maybe it's time for him to call it a day, at least for a couple of years until he's healthier.

I tried. I really tried, but didn't make it through the album (yet, hopefully). It's just painful listening to Meat Loaf speak-sing through the songs and only being a caricature of his younger self.

Has the venue been confirmed for this yet then? According to love theatre it's still to be announced.

Baz says presale is Ticketmaster, and it'll be at the Coliseum from 5th June.

I assume it's doing a summer run at the Coliseum since ENO are renting out the Coliseum during quiet periods. Kind of odd seeing a huge rock musical in what is an opera venue.

Yes I got a presale link from Ticketmaster for the Coliseum.
Highly doubtful I'll be buying anything tomorrow as I have had a lot of expenditure recently, but I hope there are other agents to buy from as TM do ridiculous fees. I would also be interested to see the ticket prices, because if it's anything like Sunset I may have to think again

So is this the big ENO musical of 2017 or will there still be a musical in April/May like Sweeney, Sunset?

So is this the big ENO musical of 2017 or will there still be a musical in April/May like Sweeney, Sunset? I'm not sure. Sunset and Sweeney weren't produced by the ENO, they were produced by GradeLinnit, who are doing 42nd Street at Drury Lane. Bat Out Of Hell seems to be a straight rental for the ENO. Glad to see Jay Scheib is involved though - he's amazing!

What an odd thing to say. The Coliseum opened as a variety theatre, the ENO moved in during the 60's. It's a theatre not an opera venue! In my opinion it's too big for opera and ballet and actually better served as a musical house like Drury Lane etc. I say move wicked there or open Spiderman there! (Joke)

I can't see this doing well at all. I thought Tim Rice said recently at an event that Chess was the next summer musical? No he said it was going into the coliseum. Can't remember if he said early '17 or early '18

The rather large cast was announced for this the other day, with little fanfare: musicaltheatrereview.com/bat-out-of-hell-christina-bennington-and-andrew-polec-cast/ Christina Bennington, Andrew Polec, Rob Fowler, Sharon Sexton, Aran MacRae, Danielle Steers, Dom Hartley-Harris, Giovanni Spano, Patrick Sullivan, Jemma Alexander, Emily Benjamin, Stuart Boother, Georgia Carling, Natalie Chua, Jonathan Cordin, Amy Di Bartolomeo, Jordan Lee Davies, Olly Dobson, Hannah Ducharme, Phoebe Hart, Rosalind James, Michael Naylor, Eve Norris, Tim Oxbrow, Andrew Patrick-Walker, Benjamin Purkiss, Anthony Selwyn, Courtney Stapleton and Ruben Van Keer. That is 29. This tweet suggests there may be a launch event outside ENO tomorrow, and I happen to be killing time in the area so may check it out:
