Maybe they can’t tell us where they’re going because their current inhabitants don’t know that they are leaving? Diplomacy, sensitivity etc. I might be wrong, but I reckon that one of the big new shows about to launch might only be pencilled in for a limited run, or has plans to transfer somewhere smaller once it is up and running.

Oh, for crying out loud. People who don't get sarcasm should really be doing some sort of life training course and not lurking on the internet of an afternoon. You're right love, I missed a very obvious trick here. Mea culpa!

The only 'larger' (+1500 seat) theatre I see getting vacant and up for an open-ended run in the next couple of months is the Adelphi Theatre.

Yeah but that doesn’t track with the “very large theatre” hint we were given upthread and that were now all taking as gospel.

Interesting post considering a closing date according to some has already been set.

Yeah but that doesn’t track with the “very large theatre” hint we were given upthread and that were now all taking as gospel. The only other big ish theatre that hasn’t been mentioned is The Prince Edward, Mj obviously isn’t selling well, the lead is off more than on and has already been on seat filling so possible it may close early

Agree completely. But I also don't want there to be a situation where a bunch of people get told they're out of work in a month or so to make way. I hope there's at least some communication. The BTTF post is very interesting though because I'm guessing this would gun for there as quick as possible, maybe for a limited run pre the rumoured Paddington? But I also think it's equally likely for TRDL also. MJ is doing fine ATM and I don't think it'd make way for Burlesque.

Coliseum?! 😂 absolutely dying the death if so.
I think it would line up with dates we have but they'd have to shut off a floor or two!

Are the ENO that desperate for dosh? They can't hire real artists for their promo art and they're trotting out the G&S with the least set this season so who knows 😥

They've done WWRY and Bat out of hell so I don't see this as that big a departure to be honest

Madness…artless madness at that, however well it turns out. Central tickets will need more than that sandwich shop to deal out of…

That would be so odd... I was thinking they would want somewhere with the ability for an open ended run... The Garrick must be coming free soon... Put it there

Put it there I mean the deal with all these "prior to West End" things is that they'll literally take anywhere, size be damned. They'll charge West End prices for a season and then go on their merry way and continue the tour.

They've done WWRY and Bat out of hell so I don't see this as that big a departure to be honest Those two could reasonably sell out the Coliseum, and used the space to some effect. The set photos for this aren't exactly fit for the size the Coliseum demands. I mean, that place is big. REALLY BIG...

Its too high & wide to serve any sort of intimacy. Opera is big and mostly quite overstated. They may as well scrap any book scenes and just have two and a half hours of tits, teeth, garter belts and Cher impersonators. It can be everything that ‘The Cher Show’ wasn’t. Maybe even (gasp) coloured costumes.

And it’s not that big of a show. Yeah there’s been some money spent on it but you don’t see the set and go “wow” at the scale. It’s nowhere near Bat.
