Beverley is amazing and such a nice person to meet, so down to earth!
I do wish they recorded a new cast album with her

Saw this tonight with Carole as Rachel. I wasn't expecting much and by the end of act one I had decided I would never see it again.
Second act was different. I thought I was familiar with the storyline but apparently not. I was an emotional mess. I thought Carole was wonderful, as was Rachel John.
The only negative thing was the acting. Carole and Rachel were great but some of the other characters were terrible. Overall I'm really glad I've seen this show.

I see Rachel tweeted she is on as Rachel on Monday 28 Nov and the matinee on Wed 30 Nov - finally might get around to seeing this show (I do really like Beverley, but I'm more of a fan of Rachel!)

I'm surprised they didn't rerecord the soundtrack with Beverley for the new run. I'd love to hear Rachel John. Come to think of it, I'd love to hear Rachel John on the Memphis soundtrack!

For all its worth, I agree, she should have been recorded. The recordings actually exist (for all of them; Heather, Beverley, Alex and even the international ones and now Deborah), but they're just used for promotional purposes and as soundtracks (yes, soundtracks!) to the promotional videos they do on social media.

I agree. I have tickets to see her in December, and also to see whoever the alternate is. Still no word on casting.
There's also an Italian production now, and they've announced an Aussie tour.

Just a reminder to those wanting to go, Rachel John will take on the role of Rachel Marron for two performances next week... Monday evening and Wednesday matinee.

Well Rachel is killing it tonight! Incredible vocals, accent alot stronger than Beverley's, thats for sure! Was nice to hear her get some applause and cheers on her entrance and throughout too. Stalls are pretty much full! One incident near the beginning, when the male dancers toss Rachel in the air for the dance break in the opening number, thet almost dropped her. They caught her just as she was about to hit the floor but otherwise all is going well for her!

Only just realised I haven't said any final thoughts on the show, but Rachel was incredible! As was Emmy as Nikki. It was one of the most moving times I have seen the show, particularly the scenes in the cabin which Rachel and Emmy both played amazingly well. Her I Will Always Love You was the first time the moment it started I got chills, and as she rose on the platform at the key change, most of the audience were applauding and cheering for her, lovely to see how supportive they were of her! The whole cast were pretty spectacular as always, deserving the full standing ovation at the end, but god damn Rachel really nailed it! If you get the chance to see her Wednesday matinee do go, it is 100% worth it! Also, notable we were a woman down in the ensemble. After the ensemble take their bow and then the two men and two women who play the small supporting roles/backing singers, only one woman walked on with the two men. Wasn't too noticable in terms of the dance numbers, but with the parts were Rachel dances or sings with a girl on either side, they didn't even have a girl replace or have the other woman stand further back to make it lool less odd. Not a major issue obviously, just something I noticed.

For all you diva lovers..
I saw the US tour last night..it's practically identical to the London production at this point, sans a few minute tweeks here are there. Relieved that the fire released during Queen of the Night is replaced by water.
Rachels "mansion" and loungy attire has also been changed every so slightly, probably per Ms. Cox's requests? Her lounge wear is definitely more stylish and diva-esque.
Deborah Cox is actually quite a better actress than a singer, in a way. Her singing was absolutely fine, but I thought slightly inconsonant and didn't let it rip until I Have Nothing. From then on her singing was pretty great. Her voice is very similar in quality to Alexandra Burke.
Overall very pleased audience. In fact, I thought the audience was quite perfect and finally not annoying. Practically no one came into the auditorium with their snacks and drinks. I certainly was not annoyed by them at any point in the show, which is very unusual.

Just saw Beverley upload a message to her Instagram account thanking the audience for helping them get through a "challenging second act" - anybody know what happened??

According to a tweet I saw a few minutes ago, it was due to an argument breaking out in the audience which caused it to be stopped halfway through the second act.

Some of the replies to her tweet saying it's ok to sing are worrying.
