I think it's expected that Rachel is black. Granted, there have been various shades of Rachels..The Dutch and German productions' Rachels are multi-racial. In all honesty I always thought that Nicole was multi-racial and half black but someone corrected me and I learned that she's part Hawaiian part Filipino. Exactly, Rachel had always been various shades. Nicole isn't far off Zoe's shade for example, she could easily do the role!

The fabulous Rachel John is on as Rachel Marron at 3pm tomorrow. I had all my shows booked for my theatre trip but I love her, so I just bought a ticket!

Rachel is exceptionally good- her duet with AB on 'Run to You' was perfection!

Happy to report that Rachel John absolutely SMASHED her performance this afternoon! What a voice! What an actor! Can even shake her junk! I'd even go as far to say after the master Heather Headley she's my 2nd favourite Rachel and I've seen 7 in total! For someone who doesn't get to perform the role often (I believe I saw somewhere her last Rachel performance was in May?) she commanded that stage, made some excellent acting choice and her death scene with Nicki was so powerful! I really hope so gets more Rachel dates (in the evening for those who can't do midweek matinee's) because she was something special. Someone may have even got a cheeky audio so who knows (wink wink)

Rachel was excellent back in February but she just added so much more yesterday, I still think she's more suited to 'Rachel' then 'Nicki' just wish she'd had more opportunities to go on. Emmy as 'Nicki' I just loved! She's flirty, sarcastic, yet I found her very likeable, Rachel's 'Nicki' occasionally comes across as very jealous of everything Rachel does, yet other times she plays her racked with guilt which I prefer. Emmy's 'Nicki' seems horrified at what she's done and when 'Frank' pushes her away I actually felt awful for her... But her death scene was the most powerful I've seen in a lot of shows.

Saw this tonight on a lottery loser ticket.
Beverley was out, Carole Stennet was great, so was Rachel John and Ben Richards was better than the original.
What I read on here made me shudder as it seemed to be a cheap tour set, then you will never get me defending The Bodyguard as a piece and I am not a massive fan of Whitney Houston, but love a couple of her songs though, but saying all that ven with the absence of the cabin, this is a far superior production than the Aldwych, with a couple of wow moments.
Semi enjoyable show, now have to see this again with Beverley.

Can someone confirm if there are day seats for this? First row? There are dayseats, central front row. Amazing view, no restriction whatsoever, stage is very low, no craning of the neck at all bar when Beverley goes up on the platform during I Will Always Love You! 100% worth it!

It took me a while to warm to Emmy's 'Nicki' but my goodness, her Act 2 Nicki was outstanding! Her death scene was even better than Rachel John or any other Nicki I've seen! So believable and really heartbreaking when on the floor dying. Closest I've ever got to shedding a tear. Even on the audio of it, gives me shivers!!

Really upset as just seen that Ben Richards isn't performing on the day I see the show That's naughty as they only posted the dates that Beverley isn't on and Ben's dates have only been put up recently They have been up for a good few weeks, the dates that Ben isn't on.

Really annoyed me that has, he's only have like 5 days off I suppose the thing is, most audience members are going to see Beverley. Whilst Ben is known, he isn't a huge star, so I guess they didn't feel the need to promote his dates until recently. Sadly, it does happen. But you will love it all the same, Beverley is incredible!

Yeah I am glad I am seeing Bev. Would be nice to see Ben as I love Hollyoaks and we've seen him in other Tv shows so I was looking forward to seeing him. That's really annoyed me though. Does anybody know what his understudy is like?

I liked Glen (his understudy) when I saw him, his Frank has no time for Rachel's diva antics, very different to Stuart Reid but good nonetheless

Heading over to the Dominion tonight for another round of The Bodyguard having lost the lottery but went for the £33 alternative. Has anyone done this offer? I know it is Best Available or will I be in a crap dear haha? Am excited to see the show again though! Second time this time round, eighth time overall!

So I may of accidently got drunk accidently at the show with the gay couple next to me and the group of girls in front and behind me, but we had a fabulous time! The whole audience seemed pretty drunk in fairness, standing ovation from the moment Beverley went up in the lift at the end and cheering from the start of the video montage and it didn't stop! It really was such a fun night, especially after a hard week at work to just have fun! Beverley was of course stunning! Off for a tequila sesh in town with my new friends now haha! Love
