I liked her a lot as Rachel. But I'm ready for a new one. I'm curious to find out who the alternate is.

Noted Alex is only doing the first six months of the tour. The final two months if the announce dates will be done by someone else, but more dates are soon to be announced, so presumably someone will take over giving the assumption Alexandra doesn't extend.

I wonder if this could ever do another filler run in the West End? Alexandra shifts tickets,thats for sure, and in a medium-sized venue (not like the Dominion), it would have a decent run to keep a venue going in between runs.

Any news on casting? Probably a long shot but any chance Rachel John would go back on the road after her stint in Hamilton? She was great as Nikki Marrron the last time.

Having seen five different women play Rachel Marron, Rachel was, by a mile, the best I've ever seen when she had one of her few scheduled performances. She was just stunning. Here's hoping one day I can relive that.

Carole is most likely back as alternate Rachel. I seen on her agency page she started rehearsals for a UK Tour the same day the rehearsals started with everyone else. Anyone else see her in the last run?

I saw on her Twitter that she played Rachel for the Chinese run of the Bodyguard so she can’t be that bad surely?

I saw her as Nikki and Rachel. She was fine as Nikki, but Rachel was a bit beyond her ability. She acted is just fine most of the time, but she was vocally challenged and I didn't think she was convincing as a superstar, or a a star at all. Otherwise Carole is a fine performer, but this role is a beast and requires a certain presence and personality to carry this show.

I saw Carole as Rachel twice and thought she was brilliant. I wouldn't mind seeing her in the role again. I really don't think it's a "beast" of a role at all.

^ To be fair, though it may not be the most demanding in terms of an acting performance, the character of Rachel is hardly off the stage for most of the show- it is very much a lead role. The vocals need to be strong to pull off those songs convincingly every night, so in that sense, I would say it is a beast.
Glad to hear you enjoyed Carole’s performance though- hope we’ll get a full cast announcement soon.
