Thanks for this! Seems to have a bit more info in it than the physical one on the day which I don't think included the song list. Much to the irritation of the elderly couple next to me who only bought it for that. 😬 Yes I was disappointed there was no song list as there is no way I could remember all the songs afterwards. I was hoping they would do the same as they did for the Sondheim Gala Concert and give you the song list as you left. I'll see if I can print off the online one and add to my programme. Edit - pleased to see the orchestra is also listed in the online programme which was also missing from the main programme (and possibly the chorus).

The free programme is a nice touch, especially as the credits have been updated. They only originally credited the 10 stars and 3 ‘featured.’ They’ve added the dancers, the ensemble and the choir, as well as the orchestra.
Nice to see they’ve added Jonny Labey to the ‘featured’ cast, as I said at the time he was really prominently featured yet wasn’t credited at all.
They’ve also added credits for the film, which I noticed includes this…

Lovely afternoon revisiting this. And thankfully my ugly mug didn’t make the cut.

Caught the cinema screening this afternoon. A fantastic 2.5 hr concert to celebrate 80yrs of R+H.
The orchestra sounded wonderful and with those vocals from a stellar line up really brought home the genius of R+H to write such timeless scores.
The only criticism would be giving MB the classic YNWA. I wished one of the ladies had sung it or Julian O.
For the £16.45 I paid it was excellent value and a 5⭐️ event.

I thoroughly enjoyed the cinema broadcast this afternoon - one of four people in our local cinema! Some fantastic songs & performances.

Well this was just lovely to revisit. Think I might have enjoyed it even more in the cinema, which was surprisingly busy. Everyone even sat quietly/gently swayed through the whole of the Carousel Waltz and credits. Was a pity they cut out some little stories but the editing was really great overall, flowed nicely. And big plus to me being *just* out of shot a couple of times.
I really do hope this is released on DVD/CD at some point. I'd love to have professional recordings of some performances, particularly Joanna and Julian's.

Largely hugely enjoyable. As ever, an unpopular opinion but the Americans were really "en point" with the Brits paling into comparison. Audra, Patrick & Aaron outstanding with Marisha playing around with notes which was annoying. I did not like the "juve lead" as she seemed apprehensive (maybe understandable) and whilst LsL sings well, her vocal tics are distracting. Not sure the entire concert was staged so well with misuse of the ensemble. AJC needs to watch her voice now too. Would have preferred a "guest vocalist" for some numbers and cut Mr Ball entirely. Julian tries too hard in a vocal entirely unsuited for his range. The sound in the cinema was appalling. No idea why Freidman was there.

Went to see this on Sunday, only 4 people in my showing. Really enjoyed to re-visit the concert (actually there was some novelty for me as I went to the matinee so didn't get to see ALW), although I wish they kept the personal stories.
Looking forward to get this on DVD / Blu-ray.

Saw this today in a totally full cinema. An appreciative audience. I don't know where to start - do many highlights. Agree with the earlier post - the American performers were first class. I want a miniature Simon Lee conducting dancing flower type toy to put on my desk. He's so animated! This show was flawless and set the bar for concerts. I loved it!

Not sure if this is good or bad sign for a full release of the show but the r&h official site are offering it as a streaming view for one week at the end of March for North America region only. Interactive viewing party to launch it. At least gives a chance for American board members to see what we were raving about. live.rodgersandhammerstein.com/?mc_cid=b7d1b81437&mc_eid=fe52b6ba2b

Someone I follow on Twitter/X (Kevin Daly) saw a preview screening in the US last night and added:
Cutting over an hour for TV seems like a lot. I'd hardly know where to start.

Is this still happening? Can't find anything to confirm apart from the WOS announcement which they took from another source and I can't find a TV schedule with it listed anywhere either. Surely it would be on TV schedules.by now as its only 5 days away.

There is this though… concord.com/news/sky-and-concord-originals-board-my-favorite-things-the-rodgers-hammerstein-80th-anniversary-concert-film/I think Concord own the rights to R&H’s work and they produced the film, so that must be official. It says Sky also bought the rights to the South Pacific film and (more interestingly) the 1965 version of Cinderella.

Yes I found that info as well. I wonder if there has been a change of plan regarding the date. I also follow the R&H concert Insta page and there is nothing mentioned. They have been heavily promoting the US stream so you would think they would be promoting this too. Hope it does happen on the 31st as I would love to see it again.

WOS update.
Update: With this concert not appearing on TV guides for 31 March, we have approached producers to confirm plans following their initial release.
They said: “Unfortunately, we have yet to receive exact dates and timings from SkyArts. It has not been scheduled as previously publicised but we don’t yet know the new scheduled date/time.”
Shame, but at least we will get it at some point.

Back from my UK trip and I was able to pay to steam this in the US here: live.rodgersandhammerstein.com/Excellent evening. Skews heavily to Oklahoma throughout but all their hits are represented. The cast is phenomenal. The orchestra even better. Love that it ends with the Carousel Waltz. For those who were fortunate enough to attend in person, I’m jealous. But the video is almost as good.

Still no sign of the film, but it is being released as an album on streamjng services world-wide on 31st May.
There’s also a 2CD set but looks like that might only be an American release though.

Fantastic news about the cd and the full show as well. The r&h site now has the links to order the cd which both amazon.co.uk and hmv have 11.99 for the double disc set which is a great price. On the cinema showing "If I loved you" from Carousel stood out for me but the versions from the film and clips on you tube sound much heavier and deeper than the lighter touch Lily Kerhoas and Patrick Wilson brought to it. A nice record of established and upcoming musical stars all given their moment to shine and a wonderful tribute to the creators of so many superb songs. found.ee/RH80Concert
