Sounds like a technical cock up which can happen, I think people are overreacting somewhat, it's just ten pound tickets.

Wishing I’d waited for this having paid £80+ for row BB. But know the stage is high so think that’ll be close enough without injuring my neck in AA. If I’d not already booked though I’d probably do it for the saving!

Had a lot of faffing to get the email to show in the first place, but managed to get a front row seat pretty easily.

Luke and Dame Penny are the perfect age to play the characters as the play is set in 1979.

Was it true that the press had heard about "Backstairs Billy" but had never really seen him until on of the the QM's birthdays when he accompanied her outside of Clarence House.

Billy was apparently disliked by a lot of senior royal staff but as the QM liked him even those who pertitioned the Queen about him were ignored as the Queen would never question Mummy's judgement.

There’s a great Channel 4 documentary (details of where to find it on YouTube further up this thread) that’ll answer your questions. Plus a good biography by Tom Quinn that I’d recommend.

Interesting that no one is listed as playing Reg, Billy’s long term partner who was also a senior member of the household staff, so assume that character won’t feature in the play.

Excellent documentary I saw it years back possibly when it was first on.
