She did record a few songs from it on one of her albums. Maybe Encore or something? Yup Encore - With One Look, As If… & Perfect Year. All great versions with full orchestration. I love that most of the Normas got to record at least three songs - even Pet Clark. I have most of them, including the German cast recording with a scary Helen Schneider. Elaine also recorded "Surrender" on her album in the 2000's. But not with the original orchestration. |

That's right I have the encore cd, I'd forgotten that. Although I still wish the whole thing had been recorded. Its sad Elaine never really got a big swan song role. She's unlikely to do a musical again. Drowsy flopped and Follies didn't seem to get that much attention.

I think Elaine’s voice has pretty much packed in hasn’t it? Last time I heard her - I think it was promo for her “top up the pension” tour she was really honking it out, and soooo nasal.

I have never heard of NS. For me a star is someone who most people can recognise, specially regular theatre goers. Jamie Lloyd I know, and like sometimes.

With respect, it is probably aimed at people who have. Unless one lived on a diet exclusively of Radio 3 & 4 and BBC 4 over the last ten years, and read only broadsheet newspapers (throwing the supplements away unopened) I struggle to see how one would not be aware of NS or at least the PCD? Or am I just very lowest common denominator? |

I have had am ATG voucher for ages and was hoping for something to coincide with a visit in October to see Madonna. Madonna and Nicole would be quite a 2 nights! Wonder when it goes on sale.
