Michael Ball just talking to Nicole on his R2 show, asked her if there's going to be a cast recording. Her (hesitant) reply was "I think so" I'm cautiously optimistic... That's better than her saying "I haven't heard anything." or "No"

Michael Ball just talking to Nicole on his R2 show, asked her if there's going to be a cast recording. Her (hesitant) reply was "I think so" No mention of Broadway though, just going home to Hawaii. I know there's been wide spread almost confirmation on this thread that Broadway is happening, but after ALW's comments about broadway last week basically asking people to support arts in the West End rather than Broadway because it's impossible financially to recoup and that Broadway productions are basically becoming "vanity projects" I thought maybe this isn't coming to Broadway after all? Maybe as others said, it will have another limited run next year (with the cast recording coming out in between)

A second London run is unlikely for two reasons. One is finding another singer who is on par with Nicole and secondly theatre availability, the Savoy won't be available due to Mean Girls and you need a similar sized theatre or slightly bigger and those are simply unavailable for the time being.

I saw this yesterday afternoon, Sunset is my fav show, but as not being a Nicole fan i was hesitant to book...but so glad i did, Nicola blew me away...as did the rest of the cast.
The beginning of the second act is very clever, did we lose a couple of words going along the Strand?
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed it and if I lived nearer would be going again.
The direction wasn't as 'different' as i was expecting it to be, four people in front of me didn't come back after the interval...their loss

The direction wasn't as 'different' as i was expecting it to be, four people in front of me didn't come back after the interval...their loss I, too, saw it yesterday afternoon and noticed the slight sound problems during the Act II opener on the Strand. As a young man, I saw the original production of Sunset with LuPone, Buckley and Paige, and I loved the excess of it all! Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this production. I thought the cast were all top-notch and Nicole both sang and acted very well. It was much more ‘realistic’ acting than in the original for the most part (maybe because it’s more in-keeping with the semi-filmed style). The horror-style ending, whilst ‘enjoyable’, was somewhat shocking, but somehow lacked poignancy. Nicole acted it well and seemed ‘possessed’ at this point, but in my opinion, it was less ‘affecting’ to me than the very original finale with LuPone. In the original, before it was reworked for Buckley etc…, Norma descended the staircase for her final speech and the WOL reprise looking truly awful - aged, partially-bald and desperately needy. This sight was the most heartbreaking. I don’t think any production of Sunset has quite captured the heartbreak of the ending since the LuPone days - or maybe it was simply because it was the first time I’d seen it. Nevertheless, as a lover of the original, I still enjoyed this fresh and more ‘modern’ take very much! Would love to see it again; alas, I won’t be able to get to London again before January.

I don’t know if anyone commented on this already but… Friday Dec 1st, they had a major issue during act II opener. Camera went off right after Tom crossed the front of the theatre and never went back. Audience went blind till Tom entered the room. It was sooooo upsetting. One of the highlights of the show ruined, I was very sorry for those seeing it for the first time. They knew this was risky, why not have a second camera around, just in case?

Does anyone know how much tickets tend to be reduced by if you wait until day of to book? Hoping to catch Rachel next Monday but there’s very few tickets left so wondering if it’s worth taking the risk of cheaper tickets at all.

There’s always a small handful left on the day of but if you want to see it in a good seat, I’d bite now. No guarantee of much of a discount.

There’s hardly any tickets left now for the run , even Monday nights. I wouldn’t be hanging around waiting for a discount.

They are reduced 50% on the day of performance but act fast at 10am. All tickets can be sold a singles so if there are a pair together they will sell them as singles. Good luck.

This was the grand finale of my recent 8-day London theater marathon and absolutely my favorite. All the raves didn't begin to prepare me for what an extraordinary concept and execution this is. Riveting on every level, and who knew this could be a ground-breaking dance piece? Definitely one of the great theatrical reinventions of our era.

The site is still working... I can only go on my own experience, which was excellent. Hope your book arrives soon. Very friendly email yesterday to confirm my address, and they’re sending out a new one.

Just won the lottery for next Thursday after nearly paying £100 for a single, can’t believe my luck! Has anyone won recently and know where the allocation is lately?

I got a £30 ticket (with the discount code) on Monday morning, row F of the Dress Circle, perfect view. So, there is still a chance. (the downside of the seat was being bitterly cold during the interval when they opened the nearby door to street level) The biggest surprise to me is they are still making changes and restaging things. I doubt I'll get chance to go back and see this again before it closes, but this is really an excellent production.
