My favourite ALW musical and one of my top 10 of all times. Have seen the Ria Jones tour and Mazz at Ally Pally but still incredibly excited at the possibility of it again. BIG ORCHESTRA PUHLEASE

A big name would be exciting (and probably needed to sell well) but I’d also love to see Sally Dexter have a crack at Norma, or Rachel Tucker. Or Mazz in a proper production.

Hannah Waddingham, Catherine Zeta Jones, Toni Collette, Cate Blanchet, Vanessa Williams just some of the names in the running. Set to be a limited run, a couple months I believe. Casting is signed and sealed |

If its really only a couple of months run I can't imagine it will be more than a glorified concert, or will they transfer the UK tour/Curve set

Anyone know what Ramin Karimloo is up to? Would be great to see him and Zizi Strallen return from the 2021 concert. Or are there any other casting rumours for these roles?

I struggle to consider CZJ as a “huge star”. She was last spotted selling towels on QVC.

Ramin would have been an ideal Joe but I think his time has passed. Shame he didn't do it opposite Glenn.
I hope they cast just as strong a Joe as Norma. Both need to be great actors.

Wow! As has already been said, Glenn Close at the Coliseum with that orchestra will take some beating, but I’d love to see this again. Sign me up!
Interesting list of names though, with none of them really grabbing me. Would Mazz take a break from Mamma Mia! to do it? I didn’t see the concert version she did but can imagine she’d be amazing. Also agree Ramin would make a great Joe. Eyes peeled for the announcement later this week then!

I thought the Curve production/tour was great. The ensemble were so impressive - one of those times you can see that each of them has a clearly worked out character and never lapsed into 'general chorus' acting for a second. The concept of it seemed to be a mix of extended swimming pool tiles, and a cell. Really well directed. Would be happy to see exactly that again with whoever the touted star names are.

Can Cate Blanchett sing? Apologies if I’m being ignorant here. CZJ would be wonderful but I keep thinking about Olivia Colman and Sarah Lancashire - would be great to have a British actress.
