I booked a £69 front row ticket for matinee show in Jan..website was getting very buggy as went through the booking process.. I was amazed at how easy it was! Booked and paid within 5 minutes. It looks to be selling well in the stalls, more seats are available in the gallery. |

Well what a dream that booking was. I was in a total panic and was finished booking and had a completed transaction by 0908hrs, so worth the membership

I managed to get a couple of balcony seats for a Wednesday in Feb. Row B.
Haven't sat up there before - how is it?

I was around 300 in the queue and it was completely sold out by the time I got in at 9.08. I went through every date. Really hope it transfers or adds some extra dates.

I usually go for C the cheapest row and it is still decent (gone are the days when I could afford row A lol). The Donmar is so small, that even the restricted view is quite good |

There was almost nothing for the General Public, with nearly all tickets sold to members. This is completely understandable and justifiable, as the obligation to make tickets available to the General Public expired when our short-sighted Government recently cut the Donmar's funding to zero.
To survive and thrive, the Donmar needs to make membership attractive, so when hot tickets come along, it won't be easy to get them if you're not a member, unfortunately.  |

My lovely friend just texted to say she's got tickets and will I go with her. I'm so excited to see this, even more for Cush Jumbo than David Tennant. I agree this kind of show makes membership very attractive - very good for the Donmar as a thriving venue, after a few not-so-successful productions.

I was on at 9 started at 1300 but numbers went down fairly quickly - however missed out. Shows would indicate limited availability but nothing there - as said above by cavocado went through every date. Alas. But got two tix for Clyde's.

To survive and thrive, the Donmar needs to make membership attractive, so when hot tickets come along, it won't be easy to get them if you're not a member, unfortunately. Blaming "the government" for you failing to get a ticket is a bit extreme. It was EXACTLY like this during the Sam Mendes/Michael Grandage hot ticket years when "the government" was funding them and all public booking tickets were gone inside 10 minutes (if you could even get into the system - their queueing system now is better). I wasn't that interested in this production (I don't rate the director) but I had a look at 09:30 and I could have got a £48 ticket but the date wasn't 100% convenient so I let it go. There were also under 30s seats available in the stalls at £10 each for a few dates which doesn't support your conclusion that they're simply trying to maximise income. |

For what it's worth, for two dates in early February there are two pairs of circle seats for Under 30s only available as of a minute ago.

Got lucky today, 450 in queue at 9. Got through quite quickly and first date I landed on, early in run, a lovely £25 row C circle still available which I snapped up.
Did have to go back into queue to book for Clyde's but didn't take too long once all hamlet tickets had gone.

One thing I object to is that they had a four ticket per person limit, and that was across the run - that is too high given they knew this would sell out. Two per person for a single date should have been the limit. In fact I think for members booking it *was* two per person ?

Not that there's any left to book. :/ |

I had a very similar situation - under 200 in the queue so managed to get Macbeth tickets but rushed through payment forgetting about Clyde’s, so had to rejoin the queue to book that! |

Row B fine, sat there for Othello, back in the day and Private Lives a couple of weeks ago. Very close to the stage. You sometimes miss a bit or have to lean to see things directly below you, but they are great seats. |

Never been to the Donmar - could I please ask those in the know, what are seats A9 + A10 like up in the circle, in terms of comfort and view? Is it benches up there, or the high fold down seats?

Sorry but 🤣 Blaming the government for you not being able to get a ticket is a new one even for this board. This is more the case of Donmar finally having something that the masses want to see. It hasn't been a hot ticket venue for a long time. Tickets selling out to members used to happen more regularly years ago, regardless of who was in downing Street at the time. Its why I had membership for several years as it was the best way to get tickets for anything. |

Is it benches up there, or the high fold down seats? thanks! View is fine but I don't much like them, the back of the seat is uncomfortably upright and legroom is limited. But for a 2hr play like Macbeth they are fine. At least you don't have the standing people directly behind you, those seats are worse. |
