Major new musical version of The Third Man opening at the MCF this year. Quite a formidable creative team involved.

General public bookings started at midnight, but someone seems to have cocked up and blocked access from the Menier home page. It's also saying my long-standing member account does not exist despite having used it to book this year.
However, if you go to the booking page for Marjorie Prime, and then change the end of the URL to THIRDMAN, you can get in to book, as I've just managed that.

eTicketing is generally a good thing, but it's not unknown for your phone battery to die. Plus, all phones break down at some point eventually. The new Menier policy states: "Please use your mobile device for entry. Printed tickets will not be accepted." I hope they've got a fallback whereby the Box Office can help you out if you can't get the ticket up on your phone (or if you don't have a smart phone, which some people don't).
UPDATE: Please ignore the above. It was entirely my fault. I selected the wrong delivery option.

I'll put it to the test next week when I go there to see Christina Bianco with my e-ticket
Phone signals have never been very good there so it could be fun.

What other venue opens bookings at midnight! In the normal world it's either 9am,10am (if the Box Office opens at the same time) or Midday/Noon I guess the same venues that start all their pricing at £45 a ticket and call it an early booking deal (although there are £30 previews for this one)

If it doesn't feature some zither, it will just not feel right.
The film music is so iconic that there has to be a nod to it somewhere

Printed tickets are still accepted, you just need to select the 'print at home' pdf option when purchasing your tickets instead. It would be pretty exclusionary to have a smart tech policy only.

Always seems to be less busy than daytime sales and doesn't mean you have to stop work for the sale (night shift workers excepted). Long may it continue.

I remember Funny Girl going on sale at Midnight and by the time most people woke up in the morning the run had sold out.

I wonder if KX tickets have taken over the ticketing system as I had an e mail about 6am from them for this show. My e ticket for Christina Bianco also had one of those square codey things to scan (I'm sure there is a proper word for it) very similar to the ones Newsies send out which is also KX tickets.

I didn't notice the option to select print at home when I booked earlier. I do object to the "threat" that a printed ticket will not be accepted.
My daughter has previously managed to print my ticket in similar circumstances despite the initial notification that it can't be done - so it can but not sure how.

Its a tiny theatre so if you have any problems with viewing your ticket just go to the box office and they will sort you out.

You're quite right. Apologies. The options you now get are "Email - free" (the default), followed by "Print at home". I should have switched to the second.

... It's also saying my long-standing member account does not exist despite having used it to book this year. ... I have had a response from the Menier: So, unless you have a paid membership, no account anymore. Seems like a retrograde move, and out of step with most current Customer Relations Management (CRM) thinking.
