Yes, I wondered how it would work on a 'traditional' stage. I loved it at The Kings Cross Theatre last year.

I haven't been to see this one, but I feel like it's totally taking advantage of the success of the Kings Cross production - is it just me or does anyone else feel the same?

Random insomnia question of the night: was just looking something up on Google Maps and found this view of Kings Cross Station: As you'll see in the photo, I've highlighted something in green. Have they really just left the train there that they used in The Railway Children? How often does Google update its map images? It must be gone by now, surely? Any other comments?? Night night!! :-)

Night night!! :-) The locomotive used for the production of Railway Children belonged to the National Railway Museum (technically a branch of the Science Museum) and was on loan. I suspect it was thought easier to deconstruct the theatre around than try to remove the Victorian heavy weight. This locomotive was actually deemed to be surplus to requirement by the museum after the show closed and gifted to a heritage railway in Swanage in the hope it willl be restored to running condition: www.swanagerailway.co.uk/news/detail/unique-victorian-steam-locomotive-unveiled-in-front-of-designers-descendants

I wonder how long it was left there after the show shut and the Theatre removed, I mean it might've got moved a while before the unveiling. Does anyone know when the Theatre itself had been fully removed?

Usually a Google satellite view image will have a rough date tucked away in a corner, I think it's month+year?
