Do they have any returns line before the show?

When did they get rid of the actual Demogorgon? It featured in the initial previews - it’s now gone Very early on in previews, it wasn’t in for long at all.

This was the second of three theatre visits for my daughter and I a couple of weeks ago.
As a family we are all huge fans of the TV show so this was a highly anticipated trip. We both loved it, the staging, the acting, the special effects we thought were very good. We were expecting this but had avoided spoilers so were pleasantly suprised in the right places!
I thought the actors really captured the characteristics of the netflix show actors particularly Joyce (Isabella Pappas) and Bob (Christopher Buckley). Louis McCartney played a great creepy Henry Creel. All in all the acting was very good I thought.
We were sat on row A of the dress circle in seats 3 and 4. Seat 1 particularly missed some action and seat 2 a little but we were fine and had a great view. Myself in 3 and the couple on 1 and 2 found cold air blew on us a lot and it was a bit chilly. It seems to be when there were big scenery changes. Seats were a bit uncomfortable and I definately felt a bit numb by the end if each act!
All in all we loved it and came out with lots of theories for Stranger Things season 5, plus we enjoyed rewatching season 4 at home and thinking about the staged show. We are going again in July and taking my husband, hope he likes it, he really is not a musicals theatre fan but we are hoping he'll enjoy this play and its connection to the tv series. This time we're in the balcony, hoping it's ok but couldn't really afford the £150 package seats on sale in the dress!
We were held downstairs for quite a while and I think they were testing something or setting something up perhaps. Not a lot of space for all the drenched people to stand around waiting!

There was a scene in only a few previews of the first time Henry saw one, there’s still a picture from the scene on the shows social media.

I wasn't bored. I've watched the first two seasons of the show and enjoyed them but haven't felt the need to go back to it. As for the play - it's not much. There is no "there" there. The characters are cardboard and so I didn't invest emotionally in any of them. The jokes fall flat and the performances are at best perfunctory. The effects are good but, this is a theme park ride and not a theatrical one. As a Theme Park Ride its miles ahead of "Back to the Future" as a theatrical one it's way,way behind "Harry Potter". I would say if you're a fan of the show, you'll have a good time. But if you're not? Skip it.

Transferring to the palladium at the end of the year That seems very unlikely given they have the panto scheduled and a load of concerts.

I'm still curious as to why Alex Young didn't do the transfer of Standing At The Sky's Edge when she was free to do this.

I'm still curious as to why Alex Young didn't do the transfer of Standing At The Sky's Edge when she was free to do this. Probably a lot of them were free but they wouldn't want to continue doing a show they've been doing since 2019.

Fair enough, just thought a WE transfer would be fairly alluring.

west end transfers often don't pay as well as NT runs, so aren't worth the lengthy commitment

Preface: I really enjoy this show. I think it stands on its own as a fun (but slightly confusing) horror if you haven't seen the TV show, but for fans of the TV show is truly special. Casting is incredible.
That out of the way, saw it again last night and one of the main leads (who was phenomenal in all other performances) suddenly seemed to be significantly struggling with the American accent. And listen, it happens, totally fine if it's an off night or ill or whatever it might be.
What my REAL question is, is what is the process like for something like that? Which person would approach this lead and say "hey we need to a do a few day of accent work again". Or would that not happen after the show is frozen? Very curious as to how those kinds of things are handled.

I'm surprised how little buzz this show is getting here. It's my favourite show that I've seen over the last year. For fans of the show, this is a must see in my opinion. The effects are superb - I prefer them to Harry Potter, but I did see it from 2nd row in stalls, so it had a bigger impact on me. The main character, Henry Creel, played by Louis McCartney does an amazing job. It's hard to believe this is his stage debut. He even fightens me and I'm twice his size The actors for Patty, young Hopper and young Joyce does a great job as well. There's some really gripping and rather intense scenes that keeps you on the edge of your seat, particularly if you're sat near the action. If you watch Stranger things for the upside down, Vecna and Demigorgon, you'll be in for a thrill. They even incorporate some real life conspiracy theories like the Philadelphia experiment. The whole 'play within a play' thing, I could probably have lived without but it does have a reason to be there so I don't mind it.

I binged the series before I went to see this and I definitely think it helps to have prior knowledge of the show (Even though they say you don't need to have seen the series to understand what's going on). I thought the story was meh, but the effects and staging were very impressive. The actors also all did very impressive jobs of playing younger versions of the characters in the series. In particular I thought Patrick Vaill was spot on with his dr Brenner.

I bought my ticket 368 days ago when they were first released. It has been such a long wait for this production and this afternoon I finally got the chance to watch it.
And it was brilliant!!!
I'm a huge Stranger Things fan so I'm biased of course. It's a show that absolutely plays to the fans. Non-fans will likely struggle at times to follow but I hope the supernatural element will hook them in.
So many strong performances overall. Special mention though to poor Isabella Pappas who had to pull out midway through the first act. Nothing dramatic. The black curtain came down and there was a delay for about ten minutes before restarting. These thing happen. A reminder of how hard and draining acting in theatre can be sometimes. Hope she's okay. The audience clapped along which was wonderful and well mannered.
Speaking of the audience, they were really well behaved. I was so happy and relaxed throughout. Speaks to how well the show was technically I think that kept them enthralled.
Ah, the technicals. INCREDIBLE. Just mesmirising from start to finish and you can tell good money had been spent in the right places. Netflix really had their toes here in the right places. Score was also in sync with the show which really helped in capturing the magic of the show onto stage.
The story is great too. Serves as a teaser for Season 5 as well as offering new takes on the existing adult characters and how they found themselves to their lives in 80s Hawkins is fascinating to watch unfold.
My only gripe was my rubbish seats. E28 in the stalls. Not the best view. Missing at least some of the action which wasn't the best. Still didn't affect my overall enjoyment of the show that much.
So yeah, 5/5 stars for me. A fantastic show all around. Hope for some Olivier wins in the coming weeks.

At my 2nd visit I sat in H10 which is just one seat off the aisle. You do miss a few things in E28 - couldn't see Patty at the end of the attic scene for example, but overall I found it wasn't too much of an issue sitting there. Personally, I'd much rather sit up close and miss a bit on the side than sit near the back in the Grand circle where everything is tiny due to the huge distance.
