On Wednesday the 'Grease the musical' facebook page announced Grease will return to the UK! Didn't state whether it was a tour or West End - anyone heard anything?
What are the opinions on this? I saw the last UK Tour and remember it feeling quite cheap but I love the TV Grease Live so hopefully they could make the show great again!

Would like to see a revival but I'd like it to be really full on like the TV programme

If it includes Aaron Tveit in his little white shorts, I'm there.

I'very just come back from a free outdoor screening of the film at Crouch End. Even managed to dodge the rain.

Please no. I still have nightmares from the last production I saw (Piccadilly Theatre).

I honestly think Grease is fine, and the last London production was colorful but GAWD did it overstay its welcome or what?! It is is a persona non grata at this point for anyone who was born before 2000.

Please no. I still have nightmares from the last production I saw (Piccadilly Theatre). I love Grease, I really do (after all, it's the 'Word', right) but off all of the live theatre productions I've one the past 10 years since arriving in this city, the Piccadilly Theatre production was the second worst thing I've ever seen.

Never seen a good production so I for one don't want it and if it happens I won't be seeing it

I've seen several productions. The only good one was a German production in Düsseldorf back in 1996. So far this has been the only time I found a German production of a show to be superior to the English original.

Just been announced this will do a UK tour beginning next year! Maybe it'll be the curve production?

The website has the previous touring logo and says Paul Nicholas & David Ian Associates at the bottom. Unless those two are teaming up with the Curve, then I imagine it'll just be the previous production again.

Confirmed in the new Manchester Palace Theatre and Opera House brochure.

Ahhh okay. Will this be the same as the Picadilly production then? Hope they change the set.
Any ideas for cast?

I'd love to see Bronté Barbé as Sandy. Yes she would be really good! I'd like to see Zoe Doano as Frenchy! I think Julianne Hough was great as Sandy on TV so I'd like to see her in theatre but there's almost 0 chance of that happening!!

Zoe Doano would be great, but would prefer her as Sandy or Harriet Jones as Sandy

I'll be shocked if they do a new set, when it went back to London all they did was a new Greased Lightning car plus a few little things and completely downsized Marty's bedroom set!
Zoe Doano would be great as Sandy she was second cover in the final cast but didn't go on unfortunately

I'd love Carrie Hope Fletcher as Sandy. Or Carina again. Not sure about anyone else.
