Not exactly what you're looking for, but this gives ives an idea of what the seating is like at the BH, if you've never been before.
This is the pricing plan for Wicked at Edbinburgh Playhouse, to give a rough idea of the pricees

If you don’t want to sit on a bench stay away from the upper circle at the Bristol hippodrome!

Also, the further back you go in the Hippodrome stalls the tighter, more upright and more uncomfortable it gets. Even in a middle aisle seat in row X, this 6’4” lump was squirming through the Cher Show y’day, and crippled by the end. Excellent view though.

If you don’t want to sit on a bench stay away from the upper circle at the Bristol hippodrome! Ended up getting upper circle seats in the presale…I’ve not sat there in the Hippodrome yet…hoping the benches aren’t too uncomfortable! It’ll be worth it though as it’s on my 21st!

Laura Pick has been announced as Elphaba on the UK tour. Good on her, she’s very consistent and saved the show a number of times over the last year at short notice. I’m tempted to book as I haven’t seen her before.

Laura H was robbed. After her pretty much saving this contract I think it's unfair that they've offered the role elsewhere.

Laura Harrison could possibly be the tour standby anyway, who knows. People don’t tend to go straight from 2nd cover to lead with Wicked in general!

Laura H was robbed. After her pretty much saving this contract I think it's unfair that they've offered the role elsewhere. Do you ever think maybe she doesn’t want to be principle Elphaba? Not everyone wants to be the lead, some actors prefer to cover. It’s also one of the hardest female roles in musical theatre and touring on top of that makes it even more difficult. She might have been offered first cover or standby for the tour and would prefer to do that. Or she might simply have a completely different job. Being a lead doesn’t make you any better than a cover.

I never got the chance to see Laura in London, so I'm happy that I will be getting many opportunities to see her on tour.
From what I've been told she is an incredibly consistent Elphaba who has great strengths both vocally and in her acting.
I'm excited to see how she develops the role further as lead on tour!

I was very impressed with Laura's performance at the Lottery Musicals Night last night. Obviously in a different setting but thought she sounded lovely.

How long should we expect to be waiting before the remaining lead cast is announced? They announced Laura's casting incredibly early.

How long should we expect to be waiting before the remaining lead cast is announced? They announced Laura's casting incredibly early. They announced it because she was going to the Lottery thing to perform so they wanted to be able to go 'this is who you'll see on tour' - I wouldn't expect remaining lead casting until September at the earliest.

Not even on sale for Manchester yet. Last stop on the tour Christmas 2024, doesn’t seem very appealing. Everyone will be knackered, not to mention how many Elphabi they’ll have been through.

I am hoping to attend for the closing week myself, it will be my first time seeing a show in Manchester. Hopefully the audiences will be a little more tame than at The Bodyguard!

Any advice for seating in Manchester? I plan to book my seats in the stalls, but are there any problem areas that should be avoided?

Any advice for seating in Manchester? I plan to book my seats in the stalls, but are there any problem areas that should be avoided? Rear stalls and rear circle should always be avoided at the Palace, the view is like looking through a letterbox, so much of the upper stage is missing. The grand circle or tier (I can’t remember what they call it) is a way better option than rear stalls or circle, for a full view , in my opinion , especially nearer the front and central . As for the front stalls , I don’t think the stage is as high as in some theatres, but I’d go a few rows back just to be sure (I’m sure others will be able to advise ).
