Can't we have Hadestown back? Given that it's staged in the round, it could be a great fit... I need this more than anything!

Can't we have Hadestown back? Given that it's staged in the round, it could be a great fit... I need this more than anything! Agreed. It's my personal favourite show out of all that I've seen and was so desperate to see it for a second time when it was on at the National, we booked for the following weekend as we saw it near the end of the run. Seems to be mega popular on Broadway so fingers crossed that it returns over here.

My bet is that it could well be JAGGED LITTLE PILL which has announced a November 2022 opening but they haven't declared which theatre.

I think that will be going to an ATG theatre…

I do think people have to remember that you can't take a show from one setting like The Open Air and bung it into an indoor theatre. Even if Legally Blonde is a success, they're not going to transfer straight away. JCS worked pretty well with very little changed. In fact, they even recreated some of the Regents Park foliage. I hated JCS when it went into the Barbican. I had 2 visits booked and didn’t bother with the second one as it had lost all its impact with the slight changes and some poor casting choices. When it returned to the RPOAT it got its sparkle back

CS Lewis is very popular with Americans. And it is family friendly. Might be ok for a limited run even if it is just a smidge festive

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is going in from July. Bizarre. It's meant to be an excellent production and a very famous story so should do well, but I always associate the story with Christmas/winter.

It did well at the Bridge but the sales at Wimbledon weren’t great. I guess it’s the only thing that could slot in at short notice.
Still hoping Animal Farm gets a West End run. If Lion is only a summer run then perhaps Animal Farm could go in afterwards

Ooh, I missed it on tour (too expensive at my local theatre and couldn't make the dates work at the cheaper ones). I'll keep an eye out for deals!

Baz on Deadline confirms The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is doing a six month run but the show after that will be the return of The Lehman Trilogy which I know did well when it was at the Piccadilly in 2019 but surely most people will have seen it already.
