Oh God no not Damien Lewis
I thought Brian was great in the music man, certainly the night I saw it anyway. Scarlett was sublime. The whole production was inventive and classy. On of Chichesters best (yes including sweeney and gypsy)

Maybe I saw him on a "I can't be assed" day.
Scarlett was a dream though. A perfect role for her

Thank you all for your thoughts and memories on this thread.
I had no idea that the Regent's Park production happened!
I've been trying to think about who would make a great Professor Harold Hill now, and I'm thinking...Jamie Parker...?

Does anyone know if there is any audio of Scarlett in the role?

Anybody think that this is due a big London revival? Apart from Chichester (2008), we've had no big revival since the original production at the Adelphi in 1961. 1995 Open Air with Brian Cox plus John Challis as the Mayor
