Elaine Paige this Sunday is going to do a special edition Sun, Moon & Stars show. She normally records to show on a Friday so hence why doing this thread now so they cannot pinch our suggestions.
So what songs can you think of that might be played this Sunday with Sun, Moon and Stars in the title? I can think of off the top of my head;
Stars - Les Miserable Sun & Moon - Miss Saigon The Stars Look Down - Billy Elliot The Moon and Me - The Addams Family
There must be plenty more and you musicals buffs will know some obscure ones?

There must be loads, but the only one that came to mind was What a Waste of a Moon from Mrs Henderson Presents (and then I had to google what it was actually called.)

Went through the songs on my phone just out of interest and goodness there's a lot! Lyricists like their celestial themes I guess:
Old Devil Moon - Finian's Rainbow Moon Change; Moon Trio; Moon, Emmie and Stuart Trio - Caroline, or Change A Ring Around the Moon; Shoot the Moon - Spitfire Grill Stars and the Moon - Songs for a New World Evenin' Star - 110 in the Shade Written in the Stars - Aida I'm the Greatest Star - Funny Girl The Greatest Star of All - Sunset Boulevard On This Night of a Thousand Stars - Evita Starchild - Ghost Quartet Stars - Les Misérables Good Morning Starshine; Let the Sun Shine In - Hair Out of the Sun - Honeymoon in Vegas Spread a Little Sunshine - Pippin Sun and Shade - Far From Heaven Sunrise; When the Sun Goes Down- In the Heights Sunrise Letter - Passion Sunrise, Sunset - Fiddler on the Roof The Sun Sits Low; The Sun Won't Set - A Little Night Music There Will Be Sun - Groundhog Day Your Grandfather Is the Sun - Marie Christine
Now I don't listen to Elaine Paige's show that much but I find it hard to imagine she'll be playing numbers from the likes of Far From Heaven or Ghost Quartet, but the Les Mis, Fiddler and the like stuff have a chance to appear.

She obviously does play the more popular songs from musicals/movies but she also does obscure.

This reminds me of Desmond Carrington's show, he often had a theme like this.

That's a really naff idea. Why not base a show around composers who once liked / like cardigans.

Does it strictly have to be in the title? Sure she will shoehorn in Memory given its references to stars, sun etc. Nice little bump on the royalties cheque if it's her version too

But as you mention Memory, Elaine doesn’t need much of an excuse to put a song on from ‘yours truly.’ May I say some cracking suggestions, I didn’t realise there would be so many!
