Article by Chris Wiegand in the Guardian today suggests the Barbican 'is planning' to bring this here in the spring; it's his adaptation of the House of Atreus story (Ifigeneia in Aulis, Trojan Women, Hekabe, Agamemnon, Elektra and Orestes are edited into one story according to the ITA website). Would be excellent news - and a relief that the new Brexit bureaucracy might not be making international visits prohibitively difficult.

Hmm. His Antigone at the Barbican was sorely lacking compared to the Elektra at the OV that season.

This has restored my faith in Ivo van Hove after the mixed bag of his recent adaptations of films. Extraordinary acting of course, a gripping telling of the tales, wonderful dance, movement and music. I'm no keener to see The Shining but would love him to do more Shakespeare (in Dutch).

Excellent way to spend a Sunday afternoon, nobody does an epic better, the energy and pacing made the nearly 4hrs fly by.
