I don’t listen to RENT anywhere near as often as I used to, but this thread immediately brought “Over the Moon” to mind. Awful! Although it can be great live - perhaps a tittle for another thread? Thankfully music theatre is primarily written to be seen and I think that is one of the reasons why ALW and I don't get on! |

anything by Gavroche. Am I the only person quite pleased when he's shot? No, but if Cosette was stood close enough for their to be a ‘bullet went straight through’ type scenario, that would be doubly advantageous. Which age Cosette? if the child one I would definitely be up for this! "Castle On A Cloud" almost always sounds off-pitch to me. |

I don't mind older Cosette, just the young one, and even she wouldn't be as bad if Castle On A Cloud wasn't in the score. Young Eponine isn't nearly as annoying, being silent!

It's interesting that despite Les Miserables being the world's favourite musical, or whatever the strapline was, so many of us have songs and characters we dislike.
For me, I could happily skip Bring Him Home, closely followed by Stars.
We probably shouldn't give CamMack any ideas, or he'll make it into a one hour concert and have it playing thrice nightly!
