Frozen by Bryony Lavery 5 - 15 Feb 2020
Ten-year-old Rhona has gone missing. Her disappearance brings together three strangers, their lives interwoven by horrific circumstances.
Macbeth by William Shakespeare 6 - 15 Feb 2020
In a country devastated by war, Macbeth is a war hero. Returning home victorious, he encounters three strange women and their prophecies pitch him into an uncontrollable spiral of bloody events.
Circle Mirror Transformation by Annie Baker 11 - 21 Mar 2020
In a small town in New England, five strangers gather to embark on creative drama classes for adults and find themselves opening up in unexpected ways.
The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde 12 - 21 Mar 2020
Two scheming bachelors, several alter-egos - and a handbag. Oscar Wilde’s “trivial play for serious people” assaults class, gender and sentiment with its dazzling verbal games.
Have booked Circle Mirror Transformation as it is an Annie Baker play I haven’t seen and tempted by Frozen as I appreciated the play but disliked the production when staged at the Haymarket a few years ago and Macbeth.

The Royal Court was it? That surprises me because I saw it but would not have booked through the RC. Maybe I did. I recall the bar in the venue sold basics and it was very funny seeing the ‘crowd’ asking for more sophisticated drinks. It was the kind of place the locals came and wondered what was going on as little clutches of people, overdressed I’m snobby enough to say, arrived in their expensive vehicles. Whether what I’m saying is patronising or just plain rude, I don’t know but it is interesting the experiment hasn’t been repeated.

I think you have a good point in that the year that Circle, Mirror, Transformation was on featured productions that just got the normal Royal Court audience to visit a different postcode. The more recent work seems a better use of an outreach initiative!
