Seems quiet on this show which opens in London soon (unless I've missed a thread)
I know it's a new production but is it the same show as last year's one from Southampton or all new songs?

I saw Billionaire Boy in Cardiff last February and gave it a 10/10 personal enjoyment score which is something I do for every show I see. Most are 8's or 9's cos I love musicals !
In April I booked to see it "again" in Bromley last week and took my adult son with the promise that it's a proper musical with some great songs.
As above, the current Billionaire Boy is a completely different show which understandably I hadn't realised when I booked it 9 months ago. This one is aimed squarely at kids and as such is a reasonable adaptation of the book but in my opinion it's a pale imitation of the Nuffield Southampton production. Not as funny, fewer and much weaker songs, shorter running time. A disappointing 5/10 from me.
