Outstanding performance from Ms Sterling. She was extraordinary. Other roles very slightly undercast which I never understand. Change the Casting Director please. Lots of poor choices in this and other years. The leading lady deserves better.

Coolio, going to this in three weeks as double header with DBS. Plenty has been on my list for ages. Agree about the casting. Very underwhelmed by 8 Hotels casting announcement last week. Hadnt heard if anyone!

That's disappointing to hear.
We were promised an "extraordinary" and "vivid" cast in this:

Would love to see this again knowing more about the plot and the work of SOE. Saw it at the NT back in the 80s starring Kate Nelligan. Also Rachael Sterling is superb.

Hadnt heard if anyone! Yes, when Rory Kinnear's partner is the most famous it is rather poor. I just don't think Chichester can guarantee the names, it is lovely but for most actors it means staying in the area because Southern are awful and does it even pay that well?

From an actor's point of view there isn't even much chance anymore of a London transfer to tempt you down.

The Times today called it “Hare at his Hairiest”.

Is that good? Im going in a fortnight. Pleasing symmetry with the casting. Stirling's mother La Rigg was first choice for Susan Traherne in the late 70s.

Saw this tonight. Stirling superb in a massive role. Some good supporting performances. Sadly a lot of empty seats.
