It's pretty poor when a reviewer can't be bothered to check his facts. Kris Hallet (WoS) refers to Rex Harrison's wife as Kay Hammond when it was of course Kay KENDALL. Kay Hammond was married to John Clements. "Attention must be paid".

I knew it was wrong because I remember Rex Harrison, rather than him just being a name to look up. I bet Kris Hallet wouldn’t even recognise your last quote. On a slightly related note, in an article about Robert Icke and Mary Stuart I read recently the writer told us that having two actors alternate parts wasn’t a new idea as Danny Boyle did it with Frankenstein in 2011. Of course old Shakespeare hands like me and learfan know that the most famous examples of it were in productions in 1935 and 1974, long before Boyle.

My good friend Chris is in this so glad to hear it's being reviewed well. Pity I won't get to see it!

Kay Hammond, of course, played Elvira in Blithe Spirit in the stage and film versions opposite Rex Harrison so not a million miles away!
Seeing IPOL on Saturday and looking forward to it.

The reticence of emotion was definitely absent by the end of the play, had to fight, failing miserably to stop my mascara from running.
Tara Fitzgerald is s revelation, a gem of a play.
A praise to love indeed.
The other two plays I’ve seen in Bath have transferred to the West End, this definitely deserves the same.

Of course the days when a fact checker or sub editor would save ourselves are behind us, so it's more imperative than ever to be on top of our game. 'I'm not the finest character who ever lived. But I'm a human being'' (and errors will sometimes be made)

This is outstanding. A privilege to see Robert Lindsay and Tara Fitzgerald in such a tiny theatre - and I'd be amazed if it doesn't transfer. I do wonder why it is in the Ustinov rather than the main house at Bath
And well done to Kris for coming along and owning up.

I wish Theatre Royal Bath had a system for transferring productions from both its spaces as they do such appealing and well-reviewed work but it seems so hit-and-miss as to which plays transfer. A London receiving house would be great, as would touring, eg in association with a couple of other regional theatres, which some already do - shares the costs and extends the reach.

Would dearly love for this to transfer to the WE, love Terence Rattigan ( why no theatre is named after him is a complete mystery to me ! ),
