The 'world-famous' Crucible Theatre has announced it's 2018/19 season.
The main house season begins with A Midsummer Night's Dream, with music by Dan Gillespie Sells. Yes, really!
This year's big Christmas musical will be Kiss Me Kate. You wait ages for one, then two come together.
The first production of the new year is Rutherford and Son.
Finally, just before the snooker rolls into town, and perhaps most excitingly of all, is the world premiere of another new musical - Standing at the Sky's Edge - with music and lyrics by Richard Hawley.

I saw this on Twitter first - ie the musical - and didn't realise it was part of a season announcement. Brilliant news as far as I'm concerned and even if the musical eventually transfers, the prospect is enough to entice me to book a weekend in Sheffield or nearby. OH and I are great Richard Hawley fans but he doesn't travel south often enough for us to see him in concert that much.

Brilliant news as far as I'm concerned Me too - this has the potential to be something really special. I've long hoped that the Crucible would commission a musical about Sheffield from Alex Turner or Jarvis Cocker or Richard Hawley - so I get a third of my wish.
