They couldn't come up with another title? The Amber Riley, Cassidy Jensen and Beverley Knight group is also called Leading Ladies.
It's like Behind the Barricade, Behind the Mask, Do You Hear the People Sing? and The Magic of Musicals..the go to titles for any concert with songs from musicals.

Strictly speaking it’s called Musicals in Concert: Leading Ladies, according to the Barbican website. Still not terribly original, but there is a slight difference...

I’ve been to a couple of these before. They’re very enjoyable. They use a local concert orchestra and the performers are usually of a pretty high standard.
I’m dreadfully sorry it’s not the Amber version, but would suggest if you buy a ticket for this show you are more likely to see the named artistes actually turn up on stage!

Am seeing this in Birmingham. It is a custom that as part of their Christmas programme there is a musicals compilation show, usually 2 men and 2 ladies. Will be interesting to see this one, particularly as I love 3 of the ladies in question. Sorry Victoria, only seen you once .Am really looking forward to the show having seen several in the past.

Also this has been on sale for a long time under this name.... I booked a ticket back in June and I believe it went on sale a couple of months before that. (For Birmingham anyway, I'm not sure on the other venues) I'm looking forward to this, having been to the different variants of these style concerts at Christmas for the past few years. All 4 of these ladies are incredible vocalists! |

This has been announced for several months certainly B'ham and London dates. Louise and Kerry have done these for a number of years.
I'd call this the "Yummy Mummy" tour as all 4 are now mums with Louise having her first this year. Linzi's daughter is training so may follow mum into the business.

Linzi's daughter's name is Meg Suddaby if anyone is interested. I actually spoke to her when I was getting something signed by Linzi on Barnum tour and she was saying she had done a couple of roles. Really looks like a young Linzi and could be one to watch.

Saw this last night and what a fab night it was, song after song performed to perfection by a top notch quartet. They were all in magnificent voice. Louise Dearman and Kerry Ellis were as always excellent. Linzi Hately was great and was surprised at how good Victoria Hamilton- Barritt was . She was so expressive especially given her heavily pregnant state. Orchestra was great too and many more songs than usual due to not too much talking in between.If you get a chance to go to Barbican tonight or Glasgow tomorrow go!

Hi it ended at about 9.50 last night. 2 hour halves and a 20 min interval.Full running order of songs is in the programme if you want to be prewarned!

I had to miss the Manc concert. Had a horrible cough, I’d have probably got lynched if I’d tried it. It’s also prevented me from seeing Jumanji at the piccies so every cloud has a silver lining  |

I saw this in Glasgow and loved it! Will agree with Theatreian that VHB was really good and expressive; her face never stayed the same! The selection of songs was good and varied too. I felt in the first half the orchestra drowned out some of the vocals, particularly Louise's, however this seemed to be rectified in the second half.

Have to agree about the sound. The night I saw it in Birmingham the sound quality was shocking. I saw many of the audience complaining. Particularly when more than one of the ladies were singing.
