The Times this morning gave this an excellent review, it does sound very inventive and the paper suggest a West End transfer could be on the cards, hope so as I love the Hitchcock film.

We saw it last week - it is a real treat, catching the spirit and the look of the movie, but adding a lot of very inventive and downright hilarious touches. I really can't believe it won't have a life beyond Bath

So are we talking The 39 Steps, or something altogether more sophisticated?

Interesting that real people (ie public, not professionals), have enjoyed this, as the reviews I saw seemed to think it was a mistake. I've never seen the film, so would give this a go if it transferred or toured.

Don't need to have seen the film to enjoy this. In fact, the film and the theatre productions are different in so many ways. Really enjoyable night at the theatre this, well worth a trip across to Bath.
Fast moving, funny and the best special affects I have seen at the theatre. A big four stars from me. Very good this.

I do think it's usually better, with adaptations, not to have seen the film/read the book (etc). Though in my case, my memory would probably mean I had no recollection of the original anyway!

I assume the special effects include the film's most famous scene - the Mount Rushmore sequence?

I'm giving no spoilers but all of the special affects are brilliant, particularly the plane scene and Mount Rushmore
